You know her side of the story, now learn his.
"It was useless. I felt branded beneath my skin by a girl who left without even saying goodbye."
When Will Price was assigned a partner for a sixth grade class project he had no idea she would become his best friend. After years of friendship, she eventually became so much more. Then, one day she left with no explanation.
Will’s life shattered right before his eyes and he was left alone to pick up the pieces. Floundering, Will must figure out a way to carry on, to find a way to exist without her.
Seven years later, a chance encounter leaves him desperate to get her back. He has one week to make her his again. Not everyone gets a second chance with the love of their life and Will is determined to never lose her again.
Jenn D. and Jen M. say...
Jen M: After falling in love with Him by Carey Haywood, I couldn’t wait for Her.
Jenn D: Right… I loved Him and Sarah’s story. You know there are two sides to every love story!
Will Price and Sarah Miller meet in English class. After being paired together to work a project on the book “Sarah, Plain and Tall”, they develop a friendship so deep and soul filling that spans throughout their remaining school years. After being friends for many years, their friendship moves on to the next level. Their relationship is amazing, filled with trust, love, and friendship.
We heard Sarah’s side of the story in Him. Now we learn Will’s.
Jen M: What a fantastic story it is! Will is just SWOONWORTHY, hot and an incredible boyfriend. I really would like him all for myself.
Jenn D: I don’t know Jen… those might be fighting words. I thought he was pretty darn Swoonworthy and may have moved up the some notches as far as book friends go!
“You’re not plain, you’re beautiful, Sarah.”
Jen M: He says things like that. All the time. Sweetest boyfriend ever!!!
Jen D: sigh…. See, perfect book boyfriend!
“You always hear people talking about love in songs or movies. I never really believed it was as big of a deal as everyone made it out to be.
I was wrong, this girl owns my soul, and I’m the luckiest guy alive because I get to make it my mission in life to make her happy.”
Jen M: One day she leaves without an explanation as to why. He is left broken, and we learn what he was up to and how he just seemed to exist in life and not really live it.
Jenn D: It was really interesting to see his side of things. Here we know Sarah is heartbroken and never moved on. Now we see how Will was able to cope for all those years. Did he ever really move on???
Jen M: Seven years later, they meet and Will is determined to make her his again.
Jenn D: We finally get to see if it was just as awkward for him as it was for her!!
“I know now nothing has felt right for the last seven years. Like trying to walk with a rock in your shoe. You can do it, and sometimes the rock moves out of the way up against the edge of your shoe so you don’t really notice it until it shifts again. But you don’t truly feel relief until it’s gone.”
They reunite, as we learned in Him, and Will and Sarah take us on the journey of their love story.
“Before, I wanted to worship her. Now I want to dominate her. She might own her own company and be the boss, but if have my way, she’ll be screaming my name in a little while.”
Jen M: Carey Heywood did a fantastic job telling Will’s story. It wasn’t like reading a repeat of Him. You got inside his head and if you didn’t fall in love with him in the first book, you sure will in Her.
Jenn D: Yes she did and I so agree! I didn’t feel like a repeat either. I loved seeing the story we know and love in his eyes. It was like they were falling in love all over again and I loved every minute of it!
