Blog Tour: Review of True Bliss by BJ Harvey

Title: TRUE BLISS (Bliss # 2)
Author: BJ Harvey
Published: November 25th
Organized by: The Book Avenue

She watched her best friend find her superhero.

Now she wants her turn.

Despite a run of bad dates with Mr. Wrong, Mr. Boring, Mr. Bad Breath, Mr. Grabby Hands, and even Mr. Say I Love You After One Date To Get Into Your Pants, Kate McGuinness is more determined than ever to find the one.

Having tried everything else, she turns to the internet in a last ditch attempt to find her elusive prince.
But Kate doesn’t want an everyday, run of the mill love.

She wants the kind of love that makes your heart skip a beat. The kind of love that makes you dance in the rain and bottle up the sunset. The once in a lifetime kind of love that authors write about, musicians sing about, and lovers dream about.

Could a certain police officer in training, who has come to her rescue in the past, be the one to swoop in and save her heart?

What if the love Kate desperately seeks has been in front of her the whole time?

She just needs to open her eyes to see it...

*Disclaimer: This book contains a hot as hell stripper with a penchant for public sex and exhibitionism who may or may not succeed in bringing out the inner firecracker in all of us. Oh, and don't forget the batteries.*

This story was certainly in the top 10 favorite books for me this year.  This story is in a series that started with Temporary Bliss with Mac and Daniel.  I loved that book as much as I love this one!  It is definitely a 4.5 star for me!  You meet the 2 main characters for this book in the first book temp bliss -- Kate was Mac's best friend and Zander was actually one of Mac's friends with benefits!

Kate AKA firebird--- She was determined to find the kind of love that her best friend found with Daniel and she was going to stop at nothing to find him!  She even had her 3 date rule-- no sex unless they put in effort, 3 dates shouldn't be a big deal right.  She started dating with the internet dating and boy was that a huge disaster.   She was giving up until Zander(swoon)... she never thought she would actually see him again because he turned her down one drunken night when she threw herself at him, and of course he had slept with her best friend of all people-- can't mess with girl code and all!  Pfft! They had serious chemistry from the start she just didn't want to go there with him because he turned her down why would she think he would want her?!  Well she didn't realize he was just trying to be a gentlemen and knew she wanted more than just a one nighter with him.... Kate's biggest problem is people who lie and that is a deal breaker for her.

Zander--- AKA Nightdancer --- He is a stripper by night and a cop in training during the day... he never had time for serious relationships just friends with benefits... hence him and Mac.  He never thought anyone would catch his attention except for one crazy night that he saved a certain red head (Kate) from practically being raped.  Kate doesn't realize what he saved her from and when she throws herself at Zander when he takes her home he has to be the gentlemen and not give in to his normal status quo can he?  NO Kate is a forever kind of girl and he would never treat her like just a friend with benefit..... Soon enough he finds out Kate was very distraught over him turning her down but he is determined to show her he can be the man she wants him to be... Then comes in the big lie, the fire, hmmmmm not gonna give away much more of the story but I can tell you when they have sex for the first time its explosive and seriously hot!

Zander is seriously one hot man!  And not to mention you get more of Daniel (hot piece of man also)  and Mac from the first story which was great because there romance was steamy and crazy too!!!

Can't wait for the next story in this series!  It will be another one of Mac's friends with benefits doctor man Noah in finding Bliss!

Realizing that the day is getting away from me, I gather my laundry for the week and head around the block to Suds R Us, my local laundromat. Once I have the washing machine on, I sit back in the plastic chairs lining the wall and pull out my phone. Time for my weekly phone call to Mom and the girls.

It rings twice before my sister Danika picks up. “City morgue. You kill ‘em, we chill ‘em.”

She never fails to amaze me. “Danika, that is terrible!” I say, still chuckling to myself.

“Zan! Tell me you’re coming home soon.”

“I wish I was, squirt. I’m too busy with work and the academy. Who would’ve thought you have to study to become a cop?”

“Well duh! Of course you do. How else will you know how to get fat and eat donuts all day?”

“Oh is that what I’ll be doing all day? Well shit, I’m glad you told me now,” I reply sarcastically.
