I didn’t hesitate to shift in my seat, my hand going to the flat, rigid planes of his abdomen as he shifted hard, tires squealing as he took to the street. “You tryin’ to kill me, Shea?” 

I gasped when the car jerked and Sebastian made a sudden, sharp turn, and then another. He screeched to a stop on a deserted side street.

Jag Steele, the lead singer of the international rock band Pandemic Sorrow, was the epitome of everything I despised: arrogant, entitled, but the thing I hated most about him was that he was an addict. Drugs had been the demon that had ruined everything in my life, and anyone who had a love affair with them pretty much made my stomach turn. It brought up memories I wanted to stay buried. Needless to say, I wasn't exactly a fan of Jag.

Funny thing is, people aren't always who you expect them to be. Never in a million years would I have thought the night I meet Jag would have any significance on the rest of my life, but it did.

I found out that sometimes something that screams utter destruction might actually be your saving grace.

Some people may say our story is too screwed up to be a romance, but for two broken people, we made the pieces fit together perfectly.

Sarah’s  4 Star Review:

I really enjoyed Roxy by Stevie J. Cole. This is the 3rd book in her Pandemic Sorrow series but can be read as a standalone. We first meet Roxy in Jag which is the first book in the series. This book does include some difficult situations so please read with caution.

"This is a raw, gritty, very real fairy tale. It may not be perfect, but it is f*cking beautiful."

Roxy has had a really rough life and it has left her a very bitter person. She lost her mother when she was young, her dad became a drug addict, her brother that was always her rock committed suicide. She has learned to shut everyone out of her life because she can't handle getting close to someone and then having them leave her. When she meets Jag at a concert she knows he is everything that she doesn't need in her life. She does agree to hang out with him and the more times she does she realizes there is more to him than what he lets people see. Will she be able to get past his drug issues and let him into her life or will she continue to live a miserable life alone?

Jag loves his rock star lifestyle. He loves to sleep with a different woman every night and has no desire in relationships. He has been to rehab but still hasn't been able to completely kick the habit. He meets Roxy at a concert and he is very attracted to her but he quickly finds out that she has no interest in him because of his drug problem. The more time her spends with her the more he thinks that maybe committing to one person isn't such a bad thing but he knows Roxy won't stay with him because of his drug problem. Will he ever be able to completely give up the drugs in order to have a healthy relationship with Roxy?

I loved the deep connection between Roxy and Jag. These two developed such a deep love for one another and I am so happy with the outcome of their relationship. This book took me on quite the emotional rollercoaster but I loved every second of it. This book shows how true love will always shine through even during a persons darkest days. Stevie did an awesome job with this book and I can't wait to see what she is working on next.

SARAH’S 4 STAR REVIEW:

Falling Deep is the first book I have read by Diana Gardin and it definitely won't be my last. I am a huge fan of rockstar books and I must say I really enjoyed this one. I will surely go back and read the first book in this series to get a better understanding of Sam and Aston's relationship.

Reed Hopewell is a business man by day as this is what his parents think he should do with his life but at night and on the weekends he sings at local clubs because performing is his true passion in life. He is quite the ladies man and has no intention of settling down until he lays eyes on Hope, the most beautiful girl he has ever seen while at the local club. He ends up having to save Hope from being attacked by the guy she is on a date with and he is very intrigued by her. Will Hope by the one to finally get Reed to settle down and want to be in a committed relationship? 

Hope Dawson spends lots of nights at the club working for her stepfather as an escort. She absolutely hates her job but in order to protect her sister Violet from their abusive mother she has no other choice. She is very intrigued by Reed but she knows that in order to keep the peace at home she must remain single as part of her job. When things in her life take a turn for the worse she runs to the one guy she has been trying to stay away from. Things start to get serious between Reed and Hope the more time they spend together and Hope finally feels like she can open up to him about her life.  Will Hope finally be able to open up to Reed and reveal the secret she has been trying to keep hidden? Will he stick around when he finds out the secret Hope is keeping from him?

I loved the connection between Reed and Hope. These two went through many ups and downs throughout the story but always seemed to find their way back to one another. The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Gardin in the future.

REVIEW TOUR: REDEEMING KYLE BY ZOEY DERRICK

SARAH'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW:

I have really enjoyed the 69 Bottles series by Zoey Derrick. Redeeming Kyle is the final book in the series. This book picks up right where Craving Talon left off. I loved the emotional rollercoaster this series took me on and I am sad that it is over. This book is not a standalone and must be read after Claiming Addison and Craving Talon. The sex scenes in this entire series are FREAKING HOT!!!

Addison, Talon, and Kyle are so deeply in love with each other but the quick pace of their ever changing relationship becomes to much for Kyle and he decides he needs a break from it all. Addison is devastated when Kyle leaves and isn't sure if she wants to continue the tour with the band. Talon is able to convince her that Kyle does love them both and he will come back when he is ready. I fell deeper in love with Talon in this book as he had to really step up to the plate and help Addison through the thought of Kyle never coming back. Addison doesn't take proper care of herself after Kyle leaves and ends in the hospital. Talon blames himself for what happened to Addison and he is pissed at Kyle for leaving them as he has always been the caretaker in the relationship.  Kyle is struggling with his past issues and feels that he isn't enough for Talon and Addison. Will Kyle be able to let go of his past issues and find peace and love with Talon and Addison? Will Talon and Addison's love be enough to get Kyle to come back to them and stay forever?

I loved the intense loving connection between Addison, Talon and Kyle. They were always so supportive of each other and would do anything for one another. These three have been through so much in their relationship but their love for one another continues to grow stronger.  I was so happy with the way their story ended and I hope to read books about the remaining band members soon!

Fame is the second book in Meghan Quinn's Addiction series. Toxic is the first book in the series and should be read first. Fame picks up a few months after Toxic ends.

Shattered Souls all went their separate ways after their tour with Twisted Perfection ended. Rook was so afraid of letting Maisy into his messed up mind that he pushed her away in the most horrible way. He leaves everyone behind and goes into hiding. He knows the only way he can go with his life is if Maisy is in it and there is no chance that will happen because of the way he ended things. Will Rook keep hiding from everyone or will he find Maisy and do whatever it takes to get her back in his life?

Maisy has loved Rook for a very long time. She was completely devastated when he ended things with her. She tries to move on with her life but she feels completely lost without Rook. When he comes back into her life after 6 months of hiding will her feelings for him still be as strong as ever or will she finally have decided its time to move on without him?

In this book we also get to catch up with the rest of the members of both bands. Grey and Landon are working on mending their relationship after their falling out over Quinn. Cruz is still just having fun with all the ladies and his enjoying his no strings attached relationship with Willow. Willow has gotten herself into some bad situations and I am hoping she figures things out in the next book. Kaid busies himself with writing music for the band as he is the glue that holds everything together. I hope he finds himself a lady friend in the next book.

I enjoyed the deep connection between all the characters in this book. I loved how they were always there for each other. There were times I had a hard time keeping up with everything as the books focus on multiple members all at the same time. I like reading a series where each book focuses on a different couple but we get to catch up with each couple as the series goes on.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.

Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations.
