Blog Tour: Undone by Rebecca Shea

Companion to "Unbreakable" -- Landon's story

**This book is a Contemporary Romance and contains mature subject matter. It is not intended for those under 17 years of age.**

I’ve found it’s easier to share my body but not my soul. I need no one, yet I crave her.

Self-assured and independent, she doesn’t need me—but she wants me, and undeniably I want her too. At war with myself as I battle the secrets of my past, I don’t know if I can allow her to see the darkest parts of me, the parts I’ve left untouched—undone.

As she chips away at the walls I’ve built for years, I fear those secrets will hold me hostage from love—forever.

Jamie Says....

Yes! Finally I waited for Landon for a long time!  If you haven't read the first book in this series called Unbreakable well you should face palm yourself because not only was it a heart wrenchingly beautiful story that made me sob, you also get to meet Landon for the first time!  This book was so much more than what I thought it was going to be I thought I loved Landon in Unbreakable boy was I wrong I fell hard and fast even more so for him in Undone.  This book was an amazingly fabulous ***** 5 Stars!

Although you meet Landon in the first book where he gets his heart broken, you will learn so much more about him and how he dealt with a awful childhood and from that never thought he never could find love.  AND Landon is going to be your next Book Boyfriend mark my words... he is hot as hell bad boy with tattoos and he is a COP! Who doesn't love a man in uniform!  Just look at the yummy cover and that is totally how I portray him DELICIOUS!    Then you meet Reagan who is an Ob Gyn that works part time helping her uncle at his bar, and yes that is where her and Landon meet for the first time. He thought she was a waitress and soon finds out she is a doctor.  Reagan has an awful secret from her past that she is trying to heal from on the inside.  She wasn't looking for a relationship she needed to stay focused on her job and making a life for herself and keep piecing her broken pieces back together.  As you will find in this story there are obstacles and there pasts that they let keep them apart.  Will either one break there normal cycle and push for the love they both deserve or are they both to broken to move on?   You will have to pick this book up and find out!!!!  You will not be disappointed!

I can't help but feel nothing for her.  This is not unusual for me;  I don't connect emotionally with most women.  I let a woman "in" once---to a place in my heart I really didn't know existed, but I let her go, knowing she needed something I could never be.  I don't do romance, I don't do relationships, and I definitely don't do love.
Leaning in, I close the distance between us.  Our noses brush and I can feel her short, , warm breaths on my face.  "I'm not desperate, Reagan---I'm determined.  There's a big difference.  And if you haven't figured it out yet----I don't play by the rules."  Her breath hitches and I sit back to take in the sight of her face while she ponders what I've just said.
"I'm going to hurt you, Reagan,  It's who I am; it's what I do.  I will never physically hurt you--but emotionally, I will wreck you, and I don't want to f***ing hurt you.  I like you --- a lot.  But it's inevitable, I'm going to hurt you and I'm going to hate myself when it happens."
Landon and Reagan--
"But what happens when one of us wants more?"  she whispers.  "Because one us will, it's inevitable.  What happens then?  You f**k me and leave me-- never see me again?"
I turn to meet her crisp blue eyes.  She's leaning in to me---staring at me.
"Do you want to f**k me Reagan?"
"Not if I can't see you again--no."
Goddamn, this woman is going to drive me insane.  I let out a frustrated laugh.  She rests her hand on top of mine, giving it a gentle squeeze.  "I want to see you again, Landon, so there will be no f***ing, understand?"  I drop my head back and close my eyes.
"Got it, Doc."

He's dangerous.... He admitted it.  But damn if I'm not attracted to that danger---knowing that if I succumb to it, it would be nothing but heartbreak for me.  "Shit," I say out loud.  I can't do this.  Not now.  I need to keep my head clear and focused on my job.  I've studied and worked too hard to get this far to let myself get distracted by a man, by Landon.
I will leave this review with one last line that was one of my absolute favorites from Landon.  You really need to read both of these books and look out for more from the awesome and amazing Rebecca Shea!

"I won't leave you alone, because it's you and me, babe.  You. And. Me. We're undone." "You know when we're done?  When one of us is dead. Until then, we're undone."

Jennifer Says...

I think I was in the minority who feel for Landon in Unbreakable.  I was rooting for him and Jess… but I do have a soft spot for the bad boy.  I always want them to get the HEA.  So when it was announced Landon was getting his own book I jumped for joy!   Even though this is a series, it can be read as standalone but you would be missing out on an amazing book in Unbreakable! This is in a dual POV and is a complete book that has it all… angst, heartbreak, and a hotness factor that is off the charts! I loved the chemistry between the characters and was pulled in from the beginning.

We have Landon… our broken alpha male.  He grew up with an abusive father, a mother that abandoned him and his sister Lyndsey that he has always protected.  He does not do relationships… he’s a self-proclaimed man whore that never sleeps with the same woman twice.  Only one girl has been able to penetrate his hard exterior but she was not meant to be.

“I don’t do romance, I don’t do relationships, and I definitely don’t do love” –Landon

Then we have Reagan, the strong willed doctor that the moment Landon eyes landed on her he knew she was different.  She is witty, smart, and doesn’t put up with Landon’s bs.  She on the other hand doesn’t do one night stands.  She herself has had to deal with extreme heartbreak and does not let people in.  But when the paths cross they are both drawn to each other.

“But I decide in that moment, when you want something so badly enough you have to take risks.  I’m not playing it safe anymore.” – Reagan

Both are start to have strong feelings for each other.  Landon has stopped his womanizing ways and Reagan is opening her heart to him but still they have battles within their relationship.   Coming from an abusive father, Landon is afraid that he will be just like his father. So rather let anyone in, he pushes them away.

“I’m going to hurt you, Reagan.  It’s who I am: it’s what I do.  I will never physically hurt you- but emotionally.  I will wreck you, and I don’t want to fucking hurt you.”- Landon

“You may never love me the way I need to be loved- but don’t deny yourself the opportunity.  Let me love you. You deserve that”- Reagan

It’s an emotional angst full ride that keeps you clued to your kindle.  Can Landon allow his walls to fall and let someone into his heart?  Reagan has secrets of her own, how will Landon react to them? When the pieces of the puzzle finally fall into place will there be happiness at the end?  You just need to read to find out.  I also loved the secondary characters in the book.  Landon’s sister Lyndsey and friend Mike add a great secondary story line that I sure hope we shall be seeing more of!

It has all things I love: angst, heartbreak, the bad boy, the witty female, and let’s not forget about the hotness factor! I love a bad boy with a dirty mouth!   I wasn’t sure how Undone would hold up to Unbreakable but the sophomore novel by Rebecca Shea is one that is a staple in everyone’s library.

Jessica Harper is the epitome of perfection. She's a good daughter, makes excellent grades, and always strays on the safe side of life. The last thing she thought would ever happen was falling in love with her best friend's brother. But sometimes fate just has a way of bringing two people together. Wide receiver for the University of Arizona, Gabe Garcia, seems to have it all. When his feelings for Jessica come to surface, Gabe will give up everything to be with her. But what happens when a tragedy abruptly changes the course of your life? For Jessica and Gabe, everything they thought they knew about each other will be questioned. Sometimes, there are scars in life that are cut too deep to completely heal. Will their love prove to be unbreakable, or will it shatter and prove fate is just another lie?

I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and currently reside in Phoenix, AZ with my family and our beagle "Miles".

Aside from reading and writing, I enjoy spending time with friends, hiking, watching my boys play football, my daughter dance, and baking (not cooking...those are two very different things!)

I am obsessed with margarita's, coffee, and diet coke and can't live without my iPad.
