In the prologue you meet Alex and Libby who married young.  Alex believes in his marriage but that comes crashing down when Libby leaves him.  Fast forward seven years and we meet Alex who is now the founder and domineering CEO of A L Investments, a very successful business.  He is a approached with an opportunity to invest in Libby's company and revenge is on his mind, therefore he take the chance.  Does revenge really have a sweet outcome.

As the plans unfolds mishaps arise.  Alex's plans start to unravel.  Feeling from the past come back to haunt him. This story develops past the revenge brought on by heart ache.  We see Alex struggle with his feeling for Libby and why his marriage did not work.  Old wounds come back.  Not only is Alex dealing with this but someone is out to destroy A L Investments.  Can old love between Alex and Libby prevail?  Can they look move past the mistakes they made before?  Will they get a second chance at love?

This story was told from Alex's POV which I found refreshing because you don't see stories written from male POV much.   In this story you will see the alpha male falter some.  Ms. Ashworth throws in enough twists and drama to keep the story moving and interesting.  The romance along with the corporate espionage and revenge was intriguing to keep you turning the page.

But what can I say? I’m Alex Lewis after all. The multi-millionaire with a jackhammer-sized cock. There’s not a woman alive that doesn’t want a piece of this. And that’s the fucking problem. I don’t want any of them.
All because of one girl. She ruined everything by burning her mark deep inside my chest. She was the girl I’d trusted with my life, and in return, royally fucked me over. I had decided there and then I’d never let it happen again. Every move would be calculated precisely. Each encounter would be strategised to perfection.
