Lauren did an amazing job with this series. If you have not read it yet you must stop what you are doing now and go read it. The first book in the series is called The Thrill of It. Lauren did an amazing job with this series.
Every Second With You starts right where The Thrill of It ends. Harley finds out some very unexpected news and she is afraid to tell Trey. She is afraid he will run because of things that have happened in his past. She finally tells him and he is very scared at first but with Harley's support he comes to realize they will make it through it. They relationship these two share is like no other. Even with their past issues and screwed up family lives they are always there to support one another.
“I don’t know, I can’t know, and my feet feel unsteady and my breath is thin, but there is one thing I can hold on to—that I don’t want to lose touch with her. She is my rock, she is my hope, she is my every-freaking-thing, and so I don’t let go of her. I cling to her, my chin against her hair, her body gathered in my arms.”
“Life is strong, and life is fragile. It is beauty, and it is pain”
Harley's mom is a horrible person who has never been there for her daughter. Harley comes to find out her mom has been keeping things from her for many years. She does a little research and finds her grandparents that her mom has been hiding from her. She gets in contact with them and her and Trey head to California to meet them. Harley and Trey make some life changing decisions to be with people who will always be there to support them no matter what.
The book takes quite a turn and had me on the edge of my seat but everything turned out beautifully in the end.

I loved the chemistry between these two characters. I loved how Harley stood her ground even through the most difficult situations. This book pulled at my heartstrings but also had me laughing and at times wanting to throw my kindle. This book is full of heartbreak, angst, self discovery, and hope. I am sad to see their story come to an end but look forward to more from Lauren.
