Blurb:

After a year of partying, Sam decides to buckle down and focus on college. Things are going great until a one-night stand leaves her pregnant and alone. Raising a child while going to school isn’t easy, but Sam is determined to be strong for her daughter. She doesn’t have time for guys or relationships, and takes great care to protect her child and her heart.

Judd doesn’t fit the mold of a college ballplayer. His long hair and tattoos may fit the life he’s created for himself, but baseball is the one thing he takes seriously. When he meets Sam, he’s immediately drawn to her curves and refusal to put up with his crap. When Judd learns the truth, can he handle the responsibility that comes with loving a single mother?

Sam yearns for the fire that Judd fuels in her, but her child’s needs have to come first. Can two people at different stages in their life find a way to make a life together?

Julie says:

Indelible is a touching story about finding love after your heart has been destroyed.  You find out that when you think you are really unlovable with the problems you may have, there is always someone to come along and brighten your life.

Samantha, at 22, had all the struggles she thought she could possibly have.  She worked, attended college, and was a mom.  She used to be a “party girl” and once she changed her life around, of course we all know that it only takes one time.
Sam goes out with her best friend, James, and yes, James is a girl.  She has no interest in dating, trying to keep her and her daughter from getting hurt.  So, when they go out, she meets Judd.  Enter cocky, dark haired tatted bad boy Judd.

When he saw her, the first thing he thought was “Looked like it may really be a challenge after all” because she was trying to avoid a relationship, and especially Judd, with his reputation.

“I felt it all the way down to my toes.” – Sam

As they met that night along with a few run-ins, she agrees to a date.  She’s scared and knows she not only has to guard her feelings but protect her daughter.  She doesn’t give him her number and he’s determined to find her secret.  So, when she finally takes him to family housing, she is surprised by his reaction.

“Something about this girl pulled at me like no one else ever had.”

But, what about Sam’s ex, the baby’s daddy?  He comes into the picture in a way I was not expecting.  As Sam and Judd became closer and his athletic career was skyrocketing, decisions had to be made.  Would he choose love over ball and would she let him?

I found Indelible to be a sweet story of what a young woman will do for her child and how hard it is to date being a single mom.  I also enjoyed seeing the big cocky jerk brought to his knees by love and a little two year old.  I would give 3.5 stars, only because it was a short read and seemed to be a little rushed.
