Until You're Mine is the second in the Mine series by K. Langston. This author can write some seriously HOT sex scenes and there was a lot of it in this book. If you get offended easily, you might want to skip this one. But if you like it hot and descriptive, it is a must read! I read the first book last September and I gave it 4 stars. I was looking forward to reading book 2 because I liked the first one so much. Like Because You're Mine, this book also ends with a happy ever after ending. It can be read as a stand alone but, it is better to have read the first before reading this book.

 

Katy is the 28 year old rebellious daughter of a strict preacher. She works in a bar because she doesn't need a lot of stuff, material things are not the most important things in her life. She had her heart broken when she caught her boy friend cheating on her with the town scank. She was tired of picking the wrong guy. Katy and Archer have been seeing each other for a while but she won't sleep with him because she knows that it would mean something to her, but not to him. She sees herself as just one of his conquests and his inability to five her more is beginning to hurt her.

 

... we’d been playing cat and mouse for months. From stealing fire starting kisses in his office, to finding any excuse to touch each other. The connection was there. It was strong and physical on his part, but for me it was more. A lot more.

I loved Archer with a heart that had been broken and shattered so many times, it was a wonder it still beat. It was a wonder that blood was still able to pump through the bludgeoned organ properly. Archer was burn beyond belief by his ex. She shattered his world and any belief he ever had about love was shattered with it. He doesn't do relationships and he definitely doesn't do love. Katherine (he refuses to call her Katy) keeps making things hard on him! He enjoys her company and genuinely likes being around her but she also scares the hell out of him.

 

“Tell me what you want. What will it take?”

“I want you to be mine.” Her eyes were so wide and sure. She knew exactly what she wanted, giving me one more thing to adore about this woman.

“Not possible.” I said shaking my head.

“Why do you deny this?” Katherine pulled my hand from her face, guiding it to rest just above her breast. Her heart pounded wildly beneath my palm as she breathed in and out with shallow breaths. “Feel that? This is what you do to me.”

Jerking my hand from her chest, I immediately released her and took a step back. I was pretty sure if she put her hand on my chest right now, she could feel my entire body vibrating with need, just like hers. I knew exactly what she was feeling because I felt the very same way. I wanted her just as badly, but I was scared to fucking death. Deep inside the darkest corner of my heart lived a beast, a wild animal that had been caged for so very long, afraid to be set free, afraid to love.  - Archer

 

This book was full of heat, passion and undeniable love. It is fast paced and hot as hell. I definitely would recommend this read to my book friends!
