Lola Stark has written a wonderful quirky book which will have you laughing and to wanting to slap someone in the head. Destry is the first book in the Rough and Hard series.
This is a story about Destry a Texas cowboy who has had heartbreak in his life and doesn't trust easily, who hates secrets and lies that is until he meets Amelia who can change all that. He finds Amelia irritating and snobbish but there is something about her that he can't resist.
Amelia is a city girl who is running away from her fake life. She rich and moody but hates that everything is decide for her. Hate that she can't be herself. When she catches her fiancé with her sister, Amelia decides she had enough heads west. Than it all change when she meets Destry.
The secondary characters are great wonderful characters and really help Destry and Amelia along in this story and getting them together.
This is the fist book I've read of Lola's and I found myself wanting a cowboy by the end.
I'm rating this a 3.5 stars.
The epilogue at the end has left wanting to see what will happen next. I can't wait for her to explore and release a second book so that this journey continues.

Lola Stark lives in Australia, Is an at home mummy with no filter raising a hoard of minions and a husband who sometimes appears not to have grown up. Lola has loved to read for as long as she can remember. When not wrangling the family she can be found sitting at her computer , writing, facebooking or just generally messing around.
