I absolutely loved Picking Up The Pieces by Shelby Reeves. This book had me hooked from the very first page. This is a story about loss, letting go, and finding true love. This bok took my on quite the emotional rollercoaster and I loved every second of it.
Kaylee has lived with feeling responsible for her father's death for the last five years. She is trying to move on with her life but really has no one to be there for her. Her mother blames her for the death of her father and avoids Kaylee as much as possible. All Kaylee has are her best friend Alexis and her boyfriend Riley. Things are finally starting to look up for her until Riley starts becoming controlling and abusive. Will Kaylee continue to stay with Riley or will she listen to her best friends advice and send him packing? Will she ever find someone who will love and protect her?
Adam is the epitome of the perfect guy, two loving parents, a nice home and a good job. The minute he sets his eyes on Kaylee he is hooked. He feels that she is the perfect girl for him even though he knows she has a boyfriend. He knows that Riley is not the right guy for her. He gives her a ride home one night and then they start spending more time together. How will Riley react when he finds out that Kaylee is spending time with another guy? Will Adam be able to convince Kaylee that Riley is not the guy for her. Will he be able to get Kaylee to trust him and open up go him about what has happened in her life?
If you want the answers to these burning questions you better get to one clicking! I highly recommend this book and can't wait to see what happend in the next one! Please be aware that this book does end with a cliffhanger.
