JESSICA'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW:

The No Asshole Rule
By : Ashely Erin

4.5 Stars!

“Sometimes the most meaningful people of journeys take time, effort and patience.”
Andie is not your typical college student, she isn’t into partying or trying to date every guy on campus heck she isn’t trying to date even one guy. Focusing on her classes and hanging with her brother and skyping with her best friend are all she really has in on her agenda most days that is until she decides to transfer to a larger school to finish up her studies. Irritated with her brother for his convenient absence during moving day Andie struggles to lug things up the stairs to her new apartment and this is how she meets Lucas but let’s not get excited there are no fireworks or angels singing but there are a string of profanities due to the fact that he didn’t so much as hold the door or offer assistance to a damsel clearly in distress. So now Andie has labeled her new neighbor an asshole and you never want to get put in the asshole box because once there you never return.

Lucas is just returning to school from spending the summer at home where he helps his younger sister take care of his nephew. Since becoming an uncle he has drastically changed many of his views and now solely works hard to finish school and put his family first all of the time. Distracted by his phone call with his sister Lucas doesn’think to offer and help Andie until it is too late and just as he is about to try and aid in her struggles his phone beeps with another call from his worried sister completely taking his mind off anything but the sobbing Ava on the line.

“You are everything I never knew I wanted until I had you.”
“I realize that I’m no longer falling in love with her. The freefall has ended with crashing realization that this woman holds my heart in her hands.”

To say Andie has trust issues and self-esteem problems is putting it mildly, this girl has erected so many walls around herself to safeguard and thwart any attempt at someone being able to get close enough to hurt her. She is cynical and quick to believe the worst due to history but I have to give Lucas credit he is patient with her and because of the situation with his family he is able to see past the insecurities and see the real Andie that is just begging to be loved and cherished. I loved that he never gave up he fought with her and for her is was completely swoonworthy! Andie eventually takes a chance and in the end she is rewarded with all the love she deserves.

“I promise to be patient and to give you time when you need it. I love you, that’s all we need.”

I loved all the secondary characters Dex and Kensi were hilarious and you could feel how much they truly care about Andie. I would love to have this turned into a series with the all the character and have more of everyone. I highly recommend.

“Are you alright?” My body shudders in pleasure at the sound of his deep voice. Dammit, why couldn’t he have a nasally voice. No, it has to be panty wetting, shiver inducing, come right then and there sexy. Fuck. My. Life. Figures I would be sexually aroused for the first time in forever by some random stranger who pisses me off.
