APRIL'S 4 Star Review: Behind Your Back
When I saw Chelsea Cameron had a new release, I was so excited. I love her work. And this one sounded so different from past works. Bingo!! And different, it was.
Behind Your Back is a romance with a twist to it. Quinn wants revenge on rich people who have somehow wronged others (we never find out why) and him and a team of others, bring them down. No one uses their real names, Quinn is an alter-ego. Coming from a rough childhood, he turns his back on his past, except his sister. The team to bring down powerful figures is made up of power, homosexual male, and a manwhore...all talented in their own way of their mission.
Saige is a "mark's daughter" that Quinn is using to get close to her dad. His ultimate goal: bring dad down without hurting Quinn. He fell for her the moment their eyes met. Red hair, green eyes, tattoo, and rebellious towards parents.
The few things I did have a problem with was the story took a bit longer for me to get into than normal. Slow starter as I call them. By the time I got into it and storytelling flowed, BAM!!! Cliffhanger!!
I liked the mystery behind what his mission was, mystery stalker, trusts betrayed, and connection between hero/heroine. I just hope that book two, Back to Back, delivers the unanswered questions.
I give this book 4 stars. Go click, you will like a good mystery romance. Enjoy!!!
