Blog Tour: Rock It by Jennifer Chance

Jennifer Chance unleashes her hot new series with the tale of a smoldering rocker and the fangirl who catches his eye—and finds herself living out her wildest dreams.

Lacey Dawes is a total pro at the talent agency where she works, and it doesn’t hurt that IMO Worldwide Media represents Dante Falcone. The rock god has starred in her fantasies since she was sixteen—and remains her secret crush to this day. So when Dante picks her to be the interim manager on his Dream It tour, Lacey can’t believe her luck. Handling Dante is sure to be the most exquisite, spine-tingling, nerve-wracking mix of business and pleasure ever.

Although Dante is grateful for the adoring fans who scream for one more of his full-throttle, soul-searing songs, being surrounded by a cadre of corporate types backstage is wearing thin. Then Lacey shows up. Yeah, she’s organized, smart, quick to get him what he wants before he knows he wants it—but Dante senses there’s something else going on with sweet, sexy Lacey. One kiss tells him what that “something” might be . . . and makes him hungry for more.

Jamie says…

Rock it was a well told rock star story but with many twists and turns. I would give it a 4 star.

It was told in a dual point of view between Lacey and Dante.  I would recommend this book to others and look forward to reading more from this author.

Lacey has and obsession since she was a young teenager of one day meeting her fantasy love Dante Falcone.  Dante is the lead singer of Paradiso.  Now that she is an adult and her fantasy is behind her she is now the new junior executive at IMO and out of all people to help it had to be Dante.
Her life is thrown off track when Dante demands that she become his new manager and go on the road with him on his next tour.  Can she handle being around him 24-7 or will her past obsession come to light and ruin everything she worked towards, will she be able to handle the spot light when her and Dante get closer, is her job safe? Or does she bend the rules too much and loose everything for a fantasy that she thought was long gone?

Dante has been a rock star most of his young life and has it all in the palm of his hands, but why is one girl that he doesn't know make him want to throw it all away to be with her?  What happens when secrets are revealed and he realizes that maybe Lacey isn't who he thought she was, or will that make him want her even more?

No people, no cameras, no obligations.  He wasn't going to let this moment pass him by. All the other places were shadows, but Lacey was real, Lacey was in his arms, Lacey was-- something different.  Something he couldn't quite put his finger on, but he wanted to know what it was, to feel it and hold it and explore it, inch by slow inch.

Lacey and Dante- "That's entirely not necessary.  I can sleep any--be anywhere.  I don't need to be with you every second of the day.  I'm not really your manager, Dante, we both know that."
"Nope, you're not," Dante said, agreeing with her just too quickly.  "But on the is tour, you are my handler."  He slipped off his sunglasses, then fixed her with a heat-stoked gaze that had graced a million and one paparazzi photos since the guy had barely been out of middle school.  "And Lacey, for the record?  I'm in the mood to be handled."

Dante-- This thing was, he didn't really know why she was bothering him so much.  Women were a perk of his profession, after all-- he had his pick, whenever he wanted.  He'd been favoring blondes for years, but now, suddenly, this uptight brunette was becoming his number one go-to for fantasies of hot, pounding sex.

Lacey-- Dante had wanted her with him to act as some sort of glorified babysitter, but she was the one being schooled it seemed.  He'd caught on right away to her weird internal battle over which version of Dante she wanted.  The guy in her fantasies, or the guy right in front of her, who could be grumpy, pushy, and downright exasperating.... and so incredibly hot that he set her very thoughts on fire.

Lacey and Dante-- "Dante," she whispered. " I don't know what you want."
"That," he said, as she pressed her palm against his cheek.  He turned his head into her hand, and kissed the palm, his heart kicking hard at the small win of getting Lacey to act first. "This."  He took her other hand and put it on his chest, where he could feel his own pulse against her skin.  Her eyes were dilating, and when she stretched up to reach his mouth, he met her halfway, brushing her lips with his.
