Julie says:

Damaged 2 picks up right where Damaged left off.  I was really impressed at how well this was written in compared to the first one.

As Peter says, “I’ll help you through whatever lies ahead.”

And he delivers.  He and Sidney embark on a road trip so she can return home and face her past.  It’s not easy and she finds out his secrets along the way.  She has to decide whether she can trust him or move on without him in her life.  But, she knows that “he makes me want things I never wanted”.  So, will she fight for what she wants?

“You know who I am better than anyone else.” - Peter
Throughout their trip, they fight, laugh, and learn all about each other.  With the presence of an innocent passenger, their trip is anything but boring.   Sidney struggles with her feelings, knowing she may end up damaged, again, in the end.

“Up until I met you I thought I was broken.” – Sidney
As they arrive at their destination, Sidney finds herself in danger and Peter will stop at nothing to save her, involving someone from his past, who he is trying to cope with as well.  Through trying to save Sidney, he tries to find himself as well, and learns more about himself than he realizes.

“We don’t really forget what happened, but we accept it and learn to live with it.” – Peter
I thought this was a great story.  It shows two people who realize they are better together than without each other.  I have never laughed so hard as I did at their constant bickering and their passenger, who I cannot wait for you to meet.  It was a great addition to their story.  If you want a really great sequel, you will definitely not be disappointed.  I would give this a 5 star rating because it is just as good as the first, if not better!!
