About DIRTY TALK

Brent Payton has a reputation for wanting to have fun, all the time. It’s well-earned after years of ribbing his brothers and flirting with every girl he meets, but he’s more than just a good time, even though nobody takes the time to see it. When a new girl walks into his family’s garage with big thoughtful eyes and legs for days, this mechanic wants something serious for the first time.

Ivy Dawn is done with men, all of them. She and her sister uprooted their lives for them too many times and she’s not willing to do it again. Avoiding the opposite sex at all costs seems easy enough, until the sexy mechanic with the dirty mouth bursts into her life.

Brent can’t resist the one woman who sees past his devil-may-care facade and Ivy finds it harder and harder to deny how happy he makes her. But Ivy has secrets she hasn’t shared and when the truth comes out, she must decide if she’s willing to take one more chance on love or let him go forever.

SARAH'S 4 STAR REVIEW:

Dirty Talk is the second book in Megan Erickson's Mechanics of Love series. This book focuses on Brett Payton the fun loving ladies man of the Payton family.

Brett Payton works as a mechanic at his family's shop. He has always been known as the irresponsible brother and is hoping to be able to change his family's view of him. There is more to him than he lets people see and he secretly would love to become a firefighter as he loves helping people. He has always been quite the ladies man until Ivy walks into his life and does everything she can to push him away. There is something about her that he finds very attractive and he will do whatever it takes to make her see that not all men are bad.

”She is … more than hot. But it’s not just that. I like her kid. Violet is… vulnerable.”

Ivy Dawn and her sister Alex have both had horrible luck with men and have decided to give up on relationhips. They have already had to relocate a few times because of men and have no intentions of moving again. She goes to visit her sister at work one day where she runs into Brett. She is attracted to him but made a promise to her sister to avoid men so she pushes him away. Ivy's daughter Violet is usually very timid around men but she gets close to Brett the first time she sees him. Ivy is very surprised by Violet's behavior around Brett and starts to realize that he could be just the man she needs in her life. Will she be able to convince her sister that Brett is a good man and they can trust him with their lives?

”He’s worth staying for. But you’re also worth leaving for.”

I loved the deep connection between Ivy and Brett. The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. This was a fun romantic read with a little bit of "dirty talk" between the two main characters. I hope to seemore of these characters in future books!!

About MEGAN ERICKSON
Megan Erickson grew up in a family that averages 5’5” on a good day and started writing to create characters who could reach the top kitchen shelf.

She’s got a couple of tattoos, has a thing for gladiators and has been called a crazy cat lady. After working as a journalist for years, she decided she liked creating her own endings better and switched back to fiction.

She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids and two cats. And no, she still can’t reach the stupid top shelf.
