Title: Step-Lover
Author: Bella Jewel
 Release Date: March 9, 2015

Synopsis

A STEPBROTHER ROMANCE

Intended for mature audiences only

I met him before I knew.

I loved him before I knew.

I didn’t know he was my stepbrother when I fell for Bladen. I fell for a
mystery guy who I spent a long, amazing weekend with. Then he got up and left
me, without even a goodbye. I was nothing more than a bit of fun.

He broke my heart.

I didn’t see him again.

Until my mom and her new husband, Jack, decide to take us all on a family
vacation to the lake so I can meet my new stepbrothers for the first time.

I don’t see it coming.

When he gets out of that car, my world stops. My passionate lover is…my
stepbrother.

He isn’t the same man. He’s a prick and he makes sure I know it.

I’m not the same woman. I’m in love with him and I very much plan to make sure
he knows it.

He won’t make my life easy. I won’t give up.

Shelly's 5 Star Review:

I devoured this book in a matter of hours, but I had to take time to wrap my head around it before I wrote my review.  Congratulations to Ms. Jewel for writing another 5+ star book that will leave you with a book hangover.

Aria and her mother have a tragedy in their past that they are trying hard to get over.  Her mother find happiness and remarries Jack.  Jack has 3 sons who live in California and come one summer to spend time with him.  Aria receives a surprise when they show up, she knows one of them.  Can they become a family?  Can Arie and Blade get over their past?  Can they move on to the future?  I am not going to give away the rest of the story.

"I met him before I knew.  I loved before I knew."

This is where I was going to write that this book will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages to see what happens next but that does not do this book justice.  One chapter will have you saying OMG what just happened.  Then the next chapter you will be like what the Jeff was that.  The it will be aww that is so sweet.  Then Ms.  Jewel will make you want to strangle someone.  Then you are saying finally.  Ok by now you get the hang of what this book will do to you.  Sorry for the chaotic rambling but this book will create chaos of your mind.

The story wrapped itself around my hear and strangled it then pieced it back together only to shatter is again.  If you want a book that fu**s with your mind and your heart and every emotion you have then pick up this book.  I have read a few Step brother/step sister books and this one by far is the best.

If you are in a book slump, you can pick up any Bella Jewel book to help you get out of it.

I received a gift copy in exchange for an honest review.   Read and Reviewed for Stories and Swag Blog.

MICHELLE'S REVIEW:

An amazing Story! Loved it!

Ok y'all, this is the first book I've read by Bella Jewel and it had me hooked from the very

first page! I devoured it all in one sitting, even stayed up till 3am to finish it.

This book had so many great elements to it, and so many feels.  That is one thing that I love about books, the really great ones, pull you in and keep you there until the very last word.  And this book did just that for me.  So full of angst, anger, hostility, vunerability, sorrow, loss, friendship and love.  All the feels!

Aria spends a weekend with a stranger she met at a bar the summer before going to college.  She didn't plan for it to be a weekend thing, but when he suggested it, she was so drawn  to him that she couldn't refuse. A weekend of fun, no names, no regrets. As she spent more and more time with him she decided she might want more, to see if they had a real shot at the dating thing.  But to her dismay, he left after the weekend was over. No note. No goodbye. Just left.  He broke her heart.

After a year went by, she still thought of 'what's his name' and even though she dated and tried like hell to get over him, he still had a piece of her heart.  Imagine her surprise when her mom and new stepdad decide that his sons are coming to stay with them and they were to meet them at Jacks (her stepdad) cabin and when Bladen gets out of the SUV, she instantly recognizes him as 'what's his name'.

Distraught over this, she decides that no one can ever know that they hooked up.  Even thought they met before their parents even starting dating, she didn't want to upset her mom and do anything to destroy her happiness that she finally found after what happened.  And Blade, he makes it very hard.  He's just as sexy as she remembers, but now, he is a man. Filled out in all the right places and he still makes her heart skip a beat.

Blade is also shocked when he discovers the girl he ran from is now his new step sister. And he has to fight his feelings for her just as much as she does.  And the hostility and tension between these two just keeps getting worse.

They finally admit that they still have feelings for each other, are still drawn to each other just like they were a year ago.

Excerpt:
"I have tried to stop thinkin of you, tried to move on, but there was a connection.  It was there and it was everything.  The problem with that is that it's still there."
I nod, becasuse my throat is too tight for words.
"I just don't want to stay away from you anymore."
Oh God.

Even though that doesn't last again.  Again, Blade left. Without warning. Without a note. Without a goodbye.  He is gone for a year, but now he's back home, for good this time. Hoping that they can make something work, even if its just a step sibling relationship.  But, they both know, they will always be much more than that.

There is so much I want to tell you about this book!  I want to tell you how much I actually enjoyed their encounters, especially the ones where they are still in denial that they don't still have feelings for each other.  They think they moved on, but they didn't.  Blade is mean and awful to Aria, and she gives as good as she gets. The chemistry between these two will keep you glued to the pages.  And even through all the hurt and hostility and pain, they do have a HEA.  And the secondary characters are awesome too, we get some of their story and it just ties everything in.  And Blade, even though he can be an asshole, he is sure to steal your heart as well.

I can't think of one single thing that I didn't just love about this book!
