Debt Inheritance is the first book that I have ever read by Pepper Winters. It was a much darker story than I am used to reading but I really enjoyed it. It had me sucked in from the very first page. There were some things that were very disturbing to me but I realize this is expected in dark stories.
Nila Weaver has always lived a sheltered life. She has never been on a real date or in a relationship before. She is the first born daughter to Archibald Weaver a textile mogul. Their family is indebted for events that took place many years ago and Nila finds out on the biggest night of her life that she is being collected as payment by the first born Hawk son, Jethro Hawk. Jethro comes from a MC family who are cold and heartless.
Nila doesn't go as willing as Jethro would have hoped. She gets under his skin but Jethro must remain cold and distant to accomplish the goal his father has set for him.

There were moments I wanted to cry for Nila. Some of the things she went through were horrific. She has been taken away from the only family she has and in order to survive she has to do whatever Jethro wants. Jethro got under my skin throughout most of the book but there were times he let his good side show.
I am very interested to see where this story goes and can't wait for the next book.
