BEST KIND OF BROKEN Synopsis:

SOMETIMES MOVING ON MEANS MOVING IN

Pixie Marshall wishes every day she could turn back time and fix the past. But she can't. And the damage is done. She's hoping that a summer of free room and board working with her aunt at the Willow Inn will help her forget. Except there's a problem: the resident handyman is none other than Levi Andrews. The handsome quarterback was once her friend-and maybe more--until everything changed in a life-shattering instant. She was hoping to avoid him, possibly forever. Now he's right down the hall and stirring up feelings Pixie thought she'd long buried . . .

Levi can't believe he's living with the one person who holds all his painful memories. More than anything he wants to make things right, but a simple "sorry" won't suffice--not when the tragedy that scarred them was his fault. Levi knows Pixie's better off without him, but every part of him screams to touch her, protect her, wrap her in his arms, and kiss away the pain. Yet even though she's so close, Pixie's heart seems more unreachable than ever. Seeing those stunning green eyes again has made one thing perfectly clear--he can't live without her.

Jamie says

This was a really great story! I was very intrigued by these characters and would love to read much more from this author. You get so many different feelings reading this book-- loss, regret, suspense, love, laughter, and swoon (yes I have made that an emotion :)!)

Pixie was was devistated after the loss of her best friend after a sudden death, not only did she loose Charity she lost her hero Levi (charity's older brother) because he was mourning for his sister and blamed himself for the sudden death of his sister. They go there separate ways to college but both end up during the summer at the Inn that pixie's aunt owns and sparks literally fly! Can they live in the same place and not feel the strong current of emotions that they leave in there path everytime they walk by eachother. They hold there selves back from there true feelings because both blame themselves for charity's death, can they look past this and finally be together, or will there demons keep them apart?

You have to pick up this book when it is released you will not be disappointed!

Here is a little something from the story:
Pixie- We kissed and touched in the little fort to the sound of angry thunder and heavy rain;
falling on the wooden planks of the meager roof; falling on the dirt outside. Drenching everything I ever thought I knew about myself. Changing me--- changing us--- forever. And it was beautiful. But that was before everything went to hell.

Levi-- "So you can move to New York or fly across the world, but I want to be there too. Wherever you are. By your side. Always." I say. "Because I'm yours. Even when you don't want me, I'm yours."

Pixie-- I let out a long, slow breath as I stare at Charity's face. Today marks the one-year anniversary of her death. A year has gone by, but somehow no time has passed. I'm still here, at the precipice of my future, waiting for life to happen. I'm still the broken girl who woke up in a hospital bed without her best friend, without her hero.
