Blog Tour: Tattooed Dots by Kimberly Knight

Easton Crawford put his modeling career and good looks before his marriage until it was over. Years later, he is finally learning how to be the father his daughter needed him to be. He’s not looking for a new mom for his daughter—just nightly casual hook-ups. When his best friend, Avery, convinces him that a good way to meet a lot of single women is to go on a single’s cruise, Easton finds more than just a hook-up when he meets a fellow cruiser, Brooke.

Brooke Bradley has taken care of her younger sister, Bailee, for most of their lives. While their mother was enjoying not being a mother, Brooke became the adult in the household at thirteen. She had always taken care of the people in her life, especially her boyfriend, Jared. If it wasn’t for Brooke, Jared wouldn’t know how to function throughout the day.

When Brooke’s best friend, Nicole, gives her a gift of going on a cruise without telling her that it’s a single’s cruise, will Brooke find someone willing to be her constant and finally leave Jared?

Brooke and Easton learn that people are brought into their lives for many reasons. Over time, they find out what those reasons are. Some are to be a temporary acquaintance while others are there for life.

What will Easton do when he meets Brooke and realizes that she is someone that is meant to be in his life forever, especially after Brooke has an unexpected surgery and Easton is scared of losing her forever?

Tattooed Dots by Kimberly Knight is a heartbreaking and heartwarming journey about finding the silver lining when life gets stormy. From start to finish I fell in love with these characters and the story.

Kimberly Knight is an incredible storyteller. Savoring each word on the page, I was quickly submerged in this book. I felt excitement at the potential between Easton Crawford and Brooke Bradley only to have my heart torn apart by an unexpected turn in the plot. Her words soothed my heartache and mended me as the characters’ lives mended, too. There’s an eloquent grace to her writing style and every piece builds to create this beautiful read. The dedication and research this author put into her novel shines.

The characters are easy to relate to and the situations are realistic. Easton is the swoon-worthy single dad who you can’t help but fall in love with. Unlucky for all the ladies, Easton falls for Brooke who has played the mother role for her sister since adolescence when their home life was in shambles. Both characters have faced challenges that have forced them to grow up and juggle responsibilities beyond what normal individuals do. Just as they faced difficulties in their past, they must cope with unforeseen obstacles in their present. Will their love be enough to save them? Or will the challenges be too much and break them?

I am excited she will be continuing to write these characters’ stories after her original plan was for this novel to be a standalone. Fans of Kimberly Knight’s books are going to love Tattooed Dots. If you haven’t been introduced to her works, I highly recommend you give this book a chance.

This was a 4 star read, it was funny, romantic and had some great sexy scenes.  I've read a few books by Kimberly Knight and I have to say this was in my top favorites.  You will enjoy the chemistry between the main characters as well as the side characters.

Brooke-- She in a relationship where she just isn't sure if things are going they way they should be, her BF is lazy and all he wants to do is play video games and have Brooke take care of him...shouldn't he be taking care of her?  Her best friend gets her a cruise for her b-day but doesn't tell her that is a single's cruise until a few days before they are expected to leave.  She wants to be there for her friend because she is searching for her true love, but she isn't sure this single's cruise is the answer.  Not only is she dealing with a lame relationship but she has some health concerns that will turn her life upside down.  She doesn't plan on meeting anyone on this cruise let alone fall in love... but does she find that? Can she be happy finally and not be in a lame relationship?  Will her health concerns make her reconsider everything in her life?

Easton-- oh how you will swoon over this delicious specimen!  He is a single father because of a bad car accident that took his wife's life.  He is trying to make a great life for his daughter by working all the time to provide her with everything she would ever want.  He owns a bar with his best friend, his friend is a hopeless romantic and is looking for the forever kind of love and he talks Easton into going on a singles cruise.  He decides to go because why not there will be tons of hot chicks and he can get laid by other woman besides bar flies.  What he doesn't expect is a woman that has a Bf to be on a singles cruise and he fall hopelessly in love with her... or is it love or just lust?  What will happen when they get to the real world and they live 4 hours apart and not only that she has a Bf.... and he has a daughter to think about... can they make it work?  Or is he destined to be the eternal bachelor?

Easton-- This girl. This girl is going to be the end of me.  Who the fuck goes on a single cruise and is not single?  Well, I actually suspected a lot of people did.  Some people living double lives, cheating on their spouse, but not Brooke.  I could tell she was genuine and sincere.  I hadn't been this attracted or turned on on to someone since----never.  Part of me wanted to walk away and go find another chick, but her smile is addicting.  Fuck, her eyes were addicting.  Her laughter, her lips, her sailor's mouth and now her jokes.

Brooke-- He made me feel wanted.
                 He made me feel desired.
                 He made me happy.
The greatest relationships are the ones that you never expect.  The ones that challenge you, make you a better person and challenge how you thought your life would be.
"Its easy to look at people and make a quick judgments about them, their presents and their pasts, but you'd be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides.  What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight.  And more often than not, it's lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul.  Never judge, learn to respect and acknowledge the feelings of another."

"Tattooed Dots?"
"Yeah they had to tattoo dots on me so they can line up the lasers so they can pinpoint the radiation on the exact spot each day."  I pointed out all ninedots, he kissed each one and said.  "Every time you look at these, I want you to remember how strong you are.  You're my superwoman and you better watch out, you may have super powers now."

This story will make you cry and laugh and swoon, so yes definitely need to get this book ASAP!  Look forward to more from this Amazingly talented Author!
