Review: Wanted by J. Kenner

For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Bared to You, and Release Me comes an all-new erotic series of three enigmatic and powerful men, and the striking women who can bring them to their knees.

He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.

Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.

My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.

And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Wanted is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Oh Evan Black, two words suit you very well:

"Sin and Seduction"

This story has a bit of everything... mystery, romance, grief, steamy scenes and the need to walk on the wild side.

Angelina Raine is the daughter of a Senator and seems like her life is perfectly set up for her. A Senator father, FBI Agent boyfriend, and a wonderful Uncle whom she works for. As we all know, things aren't always as they seem. Angelina aka Lina or right now aka Angie, has not been the same since her older sister Grace was brutally murdered. Lina loved to walk on the wild side, needed to feel the adrenaline rush but after her sister died she pushed her feelings aside and became Angie and took the path Grace would have taken if she were still alive. After awhile she moved in with her Uncle Jahn in Chicago and that is where she met the Three Dog Knights, Evan, Cole and Tyler.

Evan Black is a man of many secrets. He runs several businesses and made a big name for himself. His reputation is not all good though. Angie's FBI boyfriend, Kevin, has been keeping an eye on Evan and his partners. His partners happen to be his best friends Tyler Sharp and Cole August. The three of them together, SWOON. That's a whole lot of alpha male right there. Evan was close with Angie's Uncle Jahn who made it very clear to the three Knights that Angie was off limits. Jahn knew the boys were not good for her and made them promise to only see and treat her like a sister.

The beginning of the book was a bit slow for me. Once we hit Chapter 3 and got the full Evan Black special it perked me up. I did enjoy the mystery side to the story. It kept me guessing as to what Evan could be involved in and also what secrets Angie had herself. For the most part it seemed Evan and Angie were on the same page but they were holding back because of Jahn. Jahn loved them both very much but he was very protective of Angie and Evan didn't want to cross that line. But with Jahn being gone now could the two stay away from each other or would they finally give in to temptation and ruin everything Jahn has put in place?

The ending to the story did move a bit quick for me. I would have liked to have a little more suspense. I felt we had a big build up then it just moved smoothly from there. Over all I’m excited that this series will continue with Tyler and Cole's stories. I’m very curious of their history and what their "businesses" are all about. I know we got a little insight to them once Evan revealed his secrets but there is a lot more to it!
