Book Description:
A New Adult Romance Novel by USA Today Bestselling Author Priscilla West
Two years ago, Lorrie’s mother was murdered. But that wasn’t the end of it. Reeling from the tragedy, Lorrie’s father spiraled into alcohol, depression, and finally suicide.
The two most important people in Lorrie’s life are both gone but she’s still alive.
Trying to recover from the tragedy, Lorrie returns to campus, ready to pick up the pieces of her life. All Lorrie wants is to get back to “normal.”
Then she meets Hunter. The man, the legend, “The Hammer.”
Hunter is a cage fighter who takes on every fight like he’s got nothing to lose. His life is a tangled mess of girls, booze, and fist fights. And while it may seem like he’s got a devil-may-care attitude, he’s fighting a private cage-match with a monster he can’t defeat.
Lorrie knows that Hunter is exactly the type of guy she should stay away from, especially in her fragile state, but Hunter has other ideas.
As Hunter and Lorrie grow closer together, will they be able to overcome their pain and heal each other? Or will they both end up wrecked?

What Jamie Says...

This story seriously fits the title, I am so totally wrecked physically and emotionally after reading this.  Even though this story ends in a cliffy (my word for cliffhanger if you haven't read my reviews before) I have to give it 5 wrecking fabulous stars!!!   Some reviews that I have seen have said this is similar to walking disaster and Remy series... I do agree somewhat but still think it holds its own and deserves to be recognized for not being lumped into a category of same ole story because it definitely was its own roller coaster ride and freaking fabulous at that.

There would be no happy ending for us.  He was too damaged.  I was too broken.  Things between us shouldn't have gone this far in the first place.  Then this never would've happened.  If only i'd been stronger.  If I only hadn't said those words, if only we were different people--not the lost, scared, and broken people that we were..... then we wouldn't be in this wreck.

Lorrie is a lost broken girl that has been through 2 tragedies in her life that some will never face in 1 lifetime.  She took time off from college to deal with her tragedies and is now making her way back in a year behind, she is there to focus on her studying and not get distracted.  Can one day when a dark brooding man saves her life change her course or does it just increase the pain in her life?  Will she be able to heal and learn to love a man that could wreck her forever?  Or will her past creep up and cause her more pain too?

Hunter-- oh my gawd!  There are some many words I could use to describe this man but I think the cover of this books fits him to perfection!  He is the sexy gorgeous hard core MMA fighter who only does casual flings, he can't let anyone in to love him or him love anyone back because he is too broken... and he holds a huge secret that only the closest people to him know about and he is determined to not let that take over his life.. he is a fighter not just in the MMA ring but in his life.  His life will change when he is running one day and saves the life of a girl he knows nothing about.  He is drawn to her in ways he never thought possible but she is broken just like he is although he doesn't know why but he wants more with her but she isn't willing to give.  When she does will his secret get in the way, can he ever trust her to know the true him and still love him?  Can he love someone just as broken as he is?

This book does end in a cliff hanger that will make you want to scream bloody murder, oh wait I sort of did :)... but you have to pick up this book it would be a shame if you didn't and you may even say to yourself what the hell took me so long to read this once you do, you may even smack yourself!  Yes it was that good!  Now this is on my top most anticipated sequel releases of 2014--- the second books is called Rescued and I CAN'T WAIT!!! I need some more Hunter STAT!!!   Thanks for a great story but please don't break my heart and make the second book a cliffy too I may just cry!   Love love loved it!

Here is a little excerpt to keeping you wanting more:

We both looked into each other's eyes.  I felt like Hunter was the first person at this school besides Daniela to treat me like a real person---not a victim, object of pity, or some freak in a circus show.  I hadn't really felt much of anything recently but ever since I met Hunter, I've felt so many emotions.  Annoyance, desire, embarrassment, anxiousness, fun---anything but numb.

A heavy silence passed between us.  Being this close to him, I could feel his heart beating.  Or was that my own?  He was so good-looking it was painful.  But I couldn't tear my eyes away for his dark irises.   He tilted his head down slowly.  My breath hitched.  His eyes became heavy-lidded.  I tilted my chin up to meet him, closing my eyes along with him.  Just before out lips made contact, I snapped to my senses, panicked, and pushed him away.

Will Hunter be able to overcome his own demons and help Lorrie through her pain, or are they destined to keep hurting each other?

What Becky N Says...

Let me start by saying that when I first started this book, I thought it was gonna be another Beautiful Disaster or Real knockoff. I have to admit that was not the case at all. I WAS WRONG. Though in the beginning there was some similarities but I highly doubt any of us will even read another Cage fighting book without just a smidgen of comparison.

Lorrie is returning back to her sophomore year of college after tragedy struck her family. After being showed on every news channel and gaining major gossip from everyone around her, all she wanted was to fit in as little as possible and go unnoticed. However she hears the whispers in the halls. You cant make national news and not have at least a little at school. She wants to fade into the background however she Then she meets Hunter who just so happens to be a cage fighter who goes by "The Hammer" while in the ring. She thinks hes just another arrogant fighter but soon learns there is more to him including outrunning his own demons He really just wants to be left alone as well. But he doesn't help himself by being a ladies man who gets around. The Love em and Leave em type you could say. Until he met her.

Over a course of time they begin spending more and more time together and everyone around can tell hes falling for her. Everyone but her that is. Its endearing to read how her confidence grows just being in his presence. I cant really say much else without giving too much away but I will tell you I rated this a 4 instead of a 5 because it has the dreaded cliffhanger. We was just starting to learn about the secrets Hunter hides when the book ended.

I was pleasantly surprised by Wrecked and even considering the cliffhanger, would consider it to my book buddies.
