Blog Tour: Surrendering to Us by Chelsea M. Cameron

They're finally together. But the Universe seems intent on tearing them apart…

Rory Clarke might not be Lucah Blythe's boss anymore, but that doesn't mean they can sneak off to the boardroom for hot sex whenever they want. Keeping their hands off each other in the workplace is harder than they could have imagined, and that's not the only obstacle they have to deal with. Between Lucah's troublesome brother Ryder, and Rory's bff Sloane's inability to understand locked doors, they're drowning in drama.

But it's only about to get a lot worse when a blast from Lucah's past surfaces, and chaos at Clarke Enterprises threatens to take away everything Rory has worked so hard for. Can the couple weather the storm and surrender to each other, or will the challenges of staying together destroy their relationship for good?

Surrendering to Us, the second book in Chelsea M. Cameron’s Surrender Saga, is an intoxicating blend of drama, sex, and heart-warming bliss! I am mildly obsessed with everything Chelsea M. Cameron writes. She was one of the first Indie authors I read, and I’ve been a huge fan for a while now.

I fell in love with Aurora “Rory” Clarke and Lucah Blythe (a.k.a. Lucas Blaine) in Sweet Surrendering, the first of the series. My love for this power couple only flourished with this second book. Rory is a headstrong, career oriented woman who works at her father’s company. She’s always put her professional life before her personal until meeting Lucah.

Lucah is the definition of irresistible. He began working for Clarke Enterprises as a corporate spy, but ended the first novel as the perfect companion for Rory. I loved watching their relationship continue to progress. The story does not skimp on the sex and there are plenty of tender, swoon-worthy moments, too. There is such playfulness yet passion between these characters, and they are one of my favorite book couples.

Chelsea also gives us more insight into the characters’ backgrounds and families. I loved getting to know more about the supporting characters (namely Ryder and Sloane). These characters provided a lot of comic relief during the more tense moments.

Overall I am absolutely smitten with this story. Surrendering to Us has laughter, drama, and a story line that is pure satisfaction. I’ve fallen in love with these characters and cannot wait for the next installment (Dark Surrendering – Ryder and Sloane’s story). Once again, Chelsea M. Cameron has delivered a novel that every reader can (and should) enjoy.

3 and 3/4 Loving Stars

Aurora Clarke the heroine who goes by Rory is family oriented and has an affinity for her close friends. She's feisty in the bedroom and assertive in the corporate world. She's close to her dad who has groomed her for her place at Clarke Enterprise.

She enjoys hanging with her close friends Marisole, the lesbian Chloe and her BFF a seamstress and Chef Sloane. The man that has captured her heart is Lucah Blythe.

Lucah the hero is a former corporate spy. Who has taken on a job at Clarke Enterprise. He came from humble beginnings but is proud of his roots. He has a brother Tate and destructive, mysterious and damaged brother named Ryder. He is head over heels for his girl SUNSHINE! He is hands on in many aspects of life and likes to please in the bedroom.

"...with  him there to bring me out of my worst, he helped bring me to my best I hoped I did the same for him."

I could feel the love between the main characters Rory &  Lucah. Their bond is authentic and sweet. Lucah is an extremely attentive boyfriend. He cooks, styles her hair and is was always doting on Rory. I was waiting for him to whip out the dental floss and start flossing her teeth.  On occasion I found he was excessive and I found him too be too supportive and pleasing to Rory. He definitely spoils her..

"Because I love you. And I am very very good at what I do, Miss Clarke. I always strive for perfection."

The story had a repetitive  routine that revolved around eating, sex and hanging out.  I'm not sure if this was because it lacked depth with the plot or it was reminiscent of  the Sex in the City series to some degree. This book was enjoyable. It had cute moments a bit of spice and a lot of heart.  I would definitely add it to your TBR list. Not necessarily the top but I would add it to the list.
