Review: Lila and Ethan: forever and always by Jessica Sorensen

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Ella and Micha series comes a story of love, risks, and rewards . . .

Lila Summers just wants to know one thing for certain: that Ethan Gregory will be with her always. Once her friend, he's become so much more, melting the pain of her past away with each kiss. Now Lila is on a road trip with Ethan, in the wilderness under the stars, and she can't imagine her life without him. But when she talks about the future, something in Ethan changes . . .

Ethan has no doubts about his feelings for Lila. His life with her gets better every day-and that's the scary part. How can he walk into a future where he has everything to lose? With Lila, his whole heart is on the line for the very first time. But if Ethan can't give her the promise she needs, his greatest fear might come true: he'll lose Lila for good.

Elle says...

Jessica Sorensen indulges readers with Lila and Ethan: Forever and Always, a novella and the latest installment in her Secret Series. Lila Summers is exploring the country and loving every second of it alongside Ethan Gregory. Despite their solid connection and friendship turned romance, Lila worries about the longevity of her relationship with Ethan. Ethan doesn’t see life in a long-term sense. His focus is on embracing each moment during his road trip with Lila and not worrying himself over what the future may bring. When the adventure ends, will Lila and Ethan’s romance end with it?

This novella is the perfect delight for fans of the series. It’s a novella, but what it lacks in word length it more than makes up for in content. This dual point-of-view story is the perfect combination of tender romance, doubt, and fireworks. Lila and Ethan have a relationship that is both playful and intensely passionate. I loved reading their witty banter back and forth and getting inside of both characters’ heads.

I don’t want to give away spoilers, but I will say this story is every bit satisfying and swoon worthy. Jessica Sorensen doesn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a quick read to squeeze in during the holiday chaos, Lila and Ethan: Forever and Always is the perfect novella to one-click!

The New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Jessica Sorensen, lives in the snowy mountains of Wyoming. When she's not writing, she spends her time reading and hanging out with her family.
