Review: Searching for Someday by Jennifer Probst

Kate has given up on love—at least for herself. She is both blessed and cursed with the ability to sense a romantic connection between two people—a gift that her family passed down for generations. When Kate launches her own matchmaking company, Kinnection, with her two best friends in a cozy New York town, she has to put aside her own romantic disasters to make her business a success.

But when a furious man stalks into her office and accuses her business of being a scam, Kate is given the ultimate challenge to prove herself. Slade puts himself in her hands and asks Kate to find him love. Enraged at his arrogance but stubbornly eager to prove herself, Kate agrees, dedicating herself to the journey of finding him love...only to find herself falling for him along the way.

Jennifer Probst bewitches with her latest novel, Searching for Someday! This is the first installment in her Love Spells Series, and I loved it from cover to cover.

Kate Seymour is a total catch. She’s gorgeous, educated, and the owner of Kinnections, a newly established matchmaking agency that is on the rise. Not to mention she’s inherited a family gift to sense when two people are soul mates. Kate has everything she’s ever wanted except someone to share her life with. Despite her ability to match soul mates, Kate has yet to find that spark for herself.

Slade Montgomery is Kate’s worst nightmare. He’s beyond irresistible, brilliant, and a successful divorce attorney. He’s more concerned about making partner at the firm than finding a partner to share his life with. Day after day, Slade is surrounded by what happens when happily ever after doesn’t translate to forever leaving him desensitized to the idea of true love and soul mates.

In an attempt to protect his sister’s heart Slade enrolls in Kate’s matchmaking service and is hell bent on proving she is nothing more than a scam artist preying on naïve singles.

To me this story read like a steamy, R-rated Hallmark Channel movie. It’s the perfect balance of happiness, drama, and swoon worthy romance. Yes, I’m moderately obsessed with Hallmark Channel movies, so I fell hard for this literary gem. Two polar opposite characters are the perfect foundation for drama. Within the plot are plenty of lighthearted moments, an abundance of chemistry and passion, and a tolerable amount of drama. Oh and let’s not forget about Robert. I won’t spoil who he is, but I will say he stole the show.

Personalities clash, tempers flare, and sparks fly in Searching for Someday! If you’re looking for a lighthearted happily ever after, this is the perfect read. I cannot wait for the next book in the Love Spells Series.

Like I told Jennifer I struggled with writing a review for this book only because the end felt like it was copied from another story from another book but I decided that this probably happens alot and I just dont realize it all the time.  The main story was a 3.5-4 star for me.
This was a good love story, there were parts that were funny, sexy, and frustrating.
As we all know the frustrating parts are a necessity for a love story if not it would be boring right! :)  This story had plenty of the above emotions, which for me is a good thing I love when books pull more than one emotion from me.
This story had good main characters and side characters as well.
The plot was well written but it was a bit predictable.
But it still kept me wanting to read the story because the characters were very likable.
You have Kate who runs a match making agency and has a special touch like magical touch.  I know that may seem weird but it did work with this story.  Poor Kate seems to always match people with others but never able to match someone for herself.  Hence the name of the book searchingfor someday.

She is giving up on trying to search for love and is just focusing on matching everyone else.  Then she meets SLADE!
Slade--- hot hot hot--- sexy divorce lawyer!  He is determined to prove Kate as a fraud because his sister signed up for her match maker agency and he is not ok with it... his sister was hurt pretty badly in the past and tragic things happened because of this so he is a very protective older brother.  He decides the only way for him to prove she isn't a fraud is for him to join the agency as well and see if she can find him love.  You see him and Kate struggle there attraction for one another while he goes on numerous dates with other woman, and at some points it gets a little frustrating that Kate pushes him away so many times you just want to slap her and say HELLLOOOO he wants you and he is SLADE freaking Montgomery!  But he only wants no strings and she wants forever.
I have to say if you love dogs you will really enjoy this story very much, Kate's dog plays a big part in this book as well.
I loved the side characters too, Arilyn and Kennedy. These are Kate's partners at the match making firm.  I would actually like to see more stories about them as they seem like fiesty best friends that I would enjoy reading there stories.
This story has some steamy sexy scenes and some soft and tender scenes also.
This was a fun lovable story that anyone would enjoy.
The epilogue was a little different for me not sure it was needed in this story but again if you love dogs you may enjoy this more so than I did.  But in all it was a quirky and swee love story that im sure many will enjoy.
I wouldn't mind reading more about other characters in this book!
