Blog Tour & Giveaway: Review of Never Let Go by Scarlett Edwards

~ Synopsis ~

The start of college heralds new beginnings and new friendships. It gives every girl a chance to reinvent herself.

I go and screw mine up by meeting the most gorgeous guy I’ve laid eyes on in five years while talking to my cat outside my dorm.

But Andrew Crowner is far from judgmental. After helping me move my things to my room, he has me smitten by his easy manners and kind smile. And from the way his eyes linger on me before he leaves, I start to think that maybe I’ve caught his attention, too.
I let myself believe that luck might finally be on my side until I stumble upon my roommate… and her overnight guest.

Spencer Ashford.

Lean and tattooed, sexy as sin and dangerous, Spencer is exactly the type I want to avoid. I would have no trouble with that… were it not for his swift and inexplicable interest in me.

In the span of a week, I go from a girl with next-to-no experience with boys to one caught in the cross hairs of two totally different men.

Andrew’s interest is wholesome and sweet. Spencer’s is edgy and raw. The choice should be easy. But there are always complications, and sometimes, matters of the heart take the least expected turns.

Melanie says...

The stunning ripples of his abdominal muscles make my insides clench up. His shoulders, chest, and arms are lean and cut. A Light grazing of hair trails down the midline of his torso, disappearing from view at the tan line at his hips. For a brief moment, his pants ride down far enough for me to glimpse the top of some tattoo that starts on the top of his left quad. - Paige

The story starts off as Paige arrives at her dorm at the beginning of her freshman year at college. She bumps into Andrew as she is resting on the steps talking to her cat. One thing leads to another and he asks her out on a date. The date goes extremely well and she can't believe that she is having such a great start to her new life. That is, until he turns out to be her peer counselor. Being a peer counselor comes with rules, one of the strictest being no relationships between student and peer counselor. So when Andrew walks in and see's Paige and her roommate Katy, he has no choice but to cut things off between them.

...I saw you there, and I just panicked. I mean, I know the rules. If someone reports you with one of your 'students,' you lose everything. They take away your housing. They put a black mark on your record so you can't get another job on campus. All your privileges get revoked. - Andrew

Spencer is the campus man whore and doesn't do the relationship thing. That is until he lays his eyes on Paige. He makes it his mission in life to win her over.

There's an energy between us. A magnetism. It pulls me to you and you to me. You can't deny it. You can't tell me it's not there. I'm not going to do anything you don't want. If you tell me to leave now, I will. But I can't get your sweet taste off my mind. - Spencer

Andrew is very good looking but Spencer is just crazy hot, but also dangerous. Andrew is safe and comfortable. Spencer is passionate and unpredictable.

Spencer's kiss was molten fire and fury. When our lips met, I became his. He possessed me. There is no other way to describe it. Spencer kissed me the way I want to be kissed. He pushed me to my boundaries without going over. His kiss sparked a level of longing deep inside my body that I had never experienced before. It made me feel alive.  - Paige

I liked this book. It flowed very nicely and made me want to keep reading. The story is a cross between Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire and Damaged by H.M. Ward and does have a cliffhanger but not a crazy nosedive. It is more like, a nice smooth, fluid jump.

4 STARS!

Christina says...

Paige is not your typical american girl. She has spent most of her life in an all girls boarding school before going to take care of her grandmother before she passes on. Arriving at her college dorm she meets Andrew who is preppy, funny, and a very sweet guy. Thinking Andrew is just the person she needs to help her start this new path in life makes her spirit soar. That is until she meets Spencer. Spencer the tattoo bad boy has a reputation of being the college stud. Jumping from one girl to the next no one has been able to tame him. Is Paige the one to do it? or Is safe, secure Andrew the one to stick with.

When I first started reading this book I thought ehh this storyline has been done over and over.. BUT after reading further in I found its NOT the same storyline ...Scarlett Edwards surprised me by taking some twists and turns I never saw coming. I fell in love with Paige and her insecurities. She captivated my heart in being torn between safe and what she felt was dangerous. My heart melted when songs were played. When love was formed my heart soared. My heart hurt when stories were shared. In the end did Paige pick the right person? I think so. But there is more to tell. More to this story. Their journey is not over yet. I give this book 4 stars.  I look forward to reading book 2 and finding out what is next for Paige.. where will love take her next.

I’m Scarlett Edwards.  I wrote my first book as a college sophomore.  After six months of edits, it made its debut as Yours to Savor.

That was at the start of 2013.  I’ve written more books since then.  You can find them all here.

It’s funny how quickly life changes.  I used to think I’d need a degree to get a “Real Job.”  Then I wrote a few books, they got somewhat popular, and now I’m living the life as a full-time romance author.

Thanks to all my readers for making my dream come true.
