SHELLY'S 4 STAR REVIEW:

Madelaine O'Brien has survived circumstances that would have broken a lesser woman.  With her life finally happy and on track, will the reappearance of the monster from her past be the event that finally breaks her? Or will he be the catalyst she needs to put it all behind her, once and for all? When that monster reappears he is even more horrible than he was in her past.

This story will suck you in from the very beginning.  The storyline will take you on a wild ride.  Your emotions won't have time to recover from one incident to the next.  It is raw, gritty, violent, and heart stopping at times, but all of that will keep you turning the pages.  Maddie has been through hell and back and just when she gets the happiness she deserves it starts over.  The MC is family and they stand behind Maddie and do everything they can to help her.  The monster in this book will have you hating him from the first time he opens his mouth.

This is a great story because there is non stop action that will leave your emotions all over the place.  I loved that Ms. Hillman went back and forth from the present to the past.  It helped you learn all about the tragedy of the Maddie's past, which leads to her present.  Maddie (or as Mik calls her Laine) relationship progresses over time and since it was not insta love it made their relationship feel so much more real.  If you love a touch female that has overcome tragedy and refuses to give up then you will love Maddie.  Mik is your alpha male that protects what is his.  The MC rally together and help through all of the turbulent times in this story.

Army Strong and dripping with sin ...
Paul Jackson had his dreams mapped out. He’d graduate from high school, attend college, go pro for football, marry his high school sweetheart and live happily ever after. Until his high school sweetheart threw away everything he never knew he wanted. Throwing caution to the wind, he put his country’s dreams before his own.
The Army was a perfect distraction from her. It helped him become a man. To serve, to protect, to fight, to become strong. But when Paul returns home after three tours, he knows there’s nothing better than sexy woman, a shot of tequila and a pocket full of cash.
But he still thinks about her
Joselyn Marquez’s life changed the night of her seventeenth birthday. A forty-eight hour roller coaster trip sent her running for her life. She was homeless, and her family had disappeared. All odds were against her.
But sometimes the odds work out.
Years later, she’s an FBI agent serving as an undercover escort to investigate sex trafficking in Las Vegas. When the investigation connects her past, will she be able to do the right thing or will she still keep running from the night of her seventeenth birthday?
Tensions will rise.
Sparks will fly.
Passions will soar.
And the past will come knocking …

Sarah's 4 Star Review:

Tequila and Lace is the second book in Kimberly Knight's Saddles and Racks series. I haven't read the first book in the series but fortunately this one can be read as a standalone.

Paul thought he had everything figured out his senior year in high school. He was dating the love of his life, was getting ready to go pro in football, but then his girlfriend ends up pregnant and his life starts to spin out of control. Vanessa decides she isn't ready to be a mom so she tells Paul she is going to get an abortion. They go their separate ways and in a spur of the moment decision Paul joins the Army. After he finishes three tours he moves to Vegas and becomes an escort. He still hasn't been able to let go of his feelings for Vanessa but is happy to please women in any way he can. Will he ever be able to move on and find a HEA with someone else?

Joselyn's life was changed forever on her seventeenth birthday. She was tired of being treated like crap by her mom so she decides to run away from home. She moves in with her best friend Seth and decides to become an FBI agent. She is sent to Vegas as an undercover escort to try take down a sex trafficking ring. She hasn't been in a relationship for years because of the trauma she experienced as a teen. She ends up moving in with Paul and is immediately attracted to him. Will she be able to let go of her past issues with men and let Paul show her how a woman deserves to be treated? What will happen when Joselyn's past collides with her future?

I really liked the connection between Paul and Joselyn. Destiny brings Paul and Joselyn together and teaches them that everyone deserves to find happiness. The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. I was a little disappointed with the way the story ended. There was so much going on at the end and we never get closure on a few of the issues. I look forward to reading more by Kimberly Knight.

out all hell breaks loose.

Too bad
romance is just for books.

will Ashe be taken from Brodie before she lets him into her heart?

SHELLY'S 5 STAR REVIEW:

5 Stars

When you read Rie Warren's books you will fall in love with her characters.

Stone
How can you not fall in love with a single father who is also a sexy alpha male.  This story started at an writers convention and I loved that.  Josh is supporting his best friend Nicky Love at a writers convention.  During this week you will meet so many great characters and most of them will have you in stitches.  Josh meets Leelee and can't get her out of this mind.  Come along for the wild ride of their relationship.

Love
Nicky Love is used to being on his own but when he meets Cat he decides to pursue her, however she is not interested.  Nick is persistent and soon Cat gives in.  Both Nick and Cat are harboring secrets.  Their relationship is turbulent.  When the secrets are revealed will their relationship survive?  This story also featured plenty of Josh and Leelee.

Steele
What happens at bike week stays at bike week.  When Brodie hooks up with the sexy cop Ashe they both agree it is only for the week, but will that be enough.  When Brodie decides he wants more than that week he sets out for longer but will Ashe agree.  Follow these two as there are plenty of roadblocks to their relationship.

I love Rie Warren books because she does such a great job of developing her characters.  There are sexy alpha males and sassy and feisty females. Her secondary characters add so much to the stories also.  They are true friends and close family.  Each story contains plenty of sexiness but also has moments that will have you laughing so hard you will be crying.  That makes a great story to me.  I also love how each couple appears in all of the books so you can keep following them.

CHROME

With a Heart
Forged in Steele

Boomer Steele is big. He’s bad. He’s the
Retribution MC pres. He’s been dealt the worst hand imaginable and bears the
scars inside and out. Not that anyone knows it. He’s watched his younger
brother and sister hook up and hitch up with the loves of their lives, and now
he’s the last Steele standing alone. Maybe he should keep it that way.

 Then one
feisty honey makes him feel, gets in his grill, pisses him off.

She goes
by the name of Rayce. And that’s exactly what she does on her motocross bike
when she’s not busy getting her hands dirty with her fellow grease monkeys as
the only female mechanic at Stone’s Garage. She’s into fixing bikes, racing
hers, and making Boomer’s life a living hell just for the fun of it. Oh, and
she hates being treated like a girl.

Sparks
flying? That’s an understatement where these two are concerned. Yet when Rayce
needs a place to live, and Boomer offers her a room in his house, their
unquenchable attraction wins out over antagonism.
 Sometimes. Rayce’s crappy
upbringing makes her think love is for stupid fools asking for heartbreak.
She’s not willing to go there for any man.
Not even Boomer Steele.

The bigger
they are, the harder they fall.

BLOG TOUR AND REVIEW: COMPLICATE ME BY M. ROBINSON

BLOG TOUR
Title: Complicate Me (The Good Ol’ Boys)
Author: Best Selling Author M. ROBINSON
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Day: September 14th
Cover Design: Rebecca Marie at The Final Wrap

It was complicated, it was
also just the beginning.
A decision.
A simple choice.
There is always that one
moment in life where things could have been different. That one moment where
you could have chosen a path that would lead you down a certain road.
A different life.
It was easier to pretend that
we were still best friends, and that she was my girl and I was her boy.
Pretending was better than
knowing the truth...
I. Ruined. Us.
I had her.
I lost her.
I love her.
All I did was complicate us.

Steph's 5 star review:

One of my favorite quotes “That’s a stupid rule if I ever heard one. I’m not a girl, I’m one of the boys: exactly how I’ve always been. I’m one of you.”  Alex aka half pint.

This was my first read by M. Robinson and I wasn’t sure what to expect but she definitely deserves 5 stars and no less. The emotions in this coming of age story made me feel like I was growing up right along half pint and her good ole boys.
Alex has been “one of the boys” since she was born. Jacob, Dylan, Austin and Lucas are her good ole boys.  She is like their little sister even though they don’t dare tell her that.  They take their role seriously as her protectors. One of them however is a little more than just her friend and protector. Lucas will always be her “Bo” and although she is “Half Pint” to her boys she is Lucas’ “Brown eyed girl”. There will always be a special bond between the two of them. However they are all growing up and things are changing and that makes it complicated. When Alex is no longer a half pint, and Lucas is no longer her “Bo”, then how do they continue without messing it all up?

I gave this book 5 wonderful stars because I absolutely loved it even though it made me cry on multiple occasions.

My brown eyed girl sat on our
blankets with her arms wrapped around her knees, hiding her face. The tiny
frame that I adored so much shook uncontrollably, only heightening the deepest
sobbing that escalated with each passing second. It was such an intimate
moment, not to be shared with anyone, especially me. Alex didn’t cry. I watched
her bawl for the first time in my life. I had never seen anyone cry like that
before, and it shook me to my core, slicing me whole, and making me feel like I
was dying. Carving a memory that I would take to my grave.
There was no going back…
No erasing.
No do overs.
No deleting.
What I witnessed tonight
would be my purgatory; I would now close my eyes and forever see her falling
apart in front of me. Shattering before my very own eyes and I found it hard to
breathe.
Hard to move.
My feet were glued to the
goddamn floor as she continued to weep, sob, bawl, violently sucking in air
that wasn’t available. I accepted it all; each tear that fell from her face
becoming pieces of me. Circulating through my veins and blood, it flowed
endlessly, a river of her sadness and sorrow and of my broken promises. No
beginning or ending to her cries, just an infinite current, flooding the hole
where my heart should be. The shadow of her trembling petite body reflected off
the walls, leaving a trail of regrets in its wake.
Mine.
Hers.
Ours.
Growing up in a small town
you overheard a lot of things. People talking, stories told, town gossip. You
listened a lot. You learned a lot. Tourists, townies, friends, and especially
family all shared wisdom and advice that you think you will never need.
Bunch of bullshit.
They say you have that one
moment in life where things could have been different, that one moment that
changes the course of your life or the direction you could have taken. That one
moment that could forever change you and everything you wanted to be true,
everything you wanted to believe.
One simple decision could
alter your entire future.
My entire world.
I would forever remember this
moment for the rest of my life. This is the moment that changed everything.
This is the moment where I took another direction, another road that led me to
my own demise.
My own regrets.
I should have walked in
there. I should have apologized. I should have begged for her forgiveness. I
should have promised that I would never hurt her again. I should have done
whatever it took to make her look at me the way she had our entire lives.
But I didn’t…
I did none of those things…
Not one.
Nothing was said between us.
No words.
No actions.
I was a coward and couldn’t
do it. I couldn’t see her like that. I couldn’t look into her eyes and know
that I had hurt her. That I had disappointed her. That I ruined her love and
lost her respect for me.
The boy who promised he would
never hurt her.
The boy who swore he would
always protect her.
The boy who vowed he would
never let anything happen to her.
That same boy was me.
I was the reason she was
bawling.
I was the reason she was
hurt.
I was the reason she was
broken.
She knew the truth. It had
finally caught up to me… I shattered her illusion that I was hers. I ruined the
one good thing I had in my life. The girl that owned my heart was bleeding out
for me in a way that I had never seen before. The house was no longer our safe
place.
I had brought my hurricane
with me…
I couldn’t risk the
possibility of losing her permanently if I walked in there and admitted my
truths. She wouldn’t love me anymore, she wouldn’t look at me the same anymore,
and she wouldn’t be mine anymore.
My brown eyed girl.
The girl that I had loved all
of my life.
The same girl that I would
love for the rest of my life.
Alexandra.
I gave her the only comfort I
could in her moment of despair. I turned around and left. I walked down the
stairs and got into my truck. I turned the engine on and drove my sorry ass
home. I took a shower and never once looked at myself in the mirror. I
pretended that nothing changed. That I didn’t cause her pain, and that she
didn’t know the truth. That I didn’t see her sobbing and that she wasn’t even
bawling to begin with. That we were still just best friends, and that she was
my girl and I was her boy.
My Half-Pint and her Bo.
It was better than knowing…
I ruined us.

COVER REVEAL: MONSTER PRICK BY KENDALL RYAN

Over my dead body.

That's
what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she
met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.

If anyone
is touching her, it's going to be me.

I
shouldn't even be considering it, but I can't get it out of my head: her, under
me, begging me.

***

Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.

Those are
the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best
friend.

When he
learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl
persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor
I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.

He says
if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be him.

I hate
that I’m even considering his offer.

But I am
… I sooo am.

Ever
since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full
lips as he’s driving in to me.

But if we
cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?

MONSTER
PRICK, a sexy romantic comedy, is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be
read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.

EXCERPT

Hudson

“What if I could help you?”

I have no idea what the hell I was thinking. The words just
leaped out of my mouth. Listening to Gracie talk about kicking off her granny panties
and popping her cherry with some random Internet dick...I guess it drove me
temporarily insane.

But there's no taking back the idea now. Gracie sucks in her
breath, blinking wide-eyed. “What do you mean?” she asks.

What do I mean? Here I am, sitting next to the world's most
beautiful girl—drowning in her eyes, her scent, the gentle puff of her breath
on my mouth that begs me to close the distance. I know what I want, but I also
know what will happen if I take it. My best friend will rip off my balls and
feed them to me. And I'll probably deserve every second.

But sweet Jesus, I'm pretty sure Gracie wants this, too, and
that's enough to blow my better judgment to pieces. All I care about right now
is making her feel better. In as many ways as possible. And if her slightly
quickened breathing, blown pupils, and flushed cheeks are anything to go by...

As an experiment, I dart out the tip of my tongue to wet my
lips. Her darkened eyes drop like a magnet yanked them. Yeah, bingo. Having a
little black book as thick as the dictionary has its advantages. I know damn
well how to tell when a woman wants me.
