I wipe my hands on my dress, staring at the numbers 806 on the gold metal plate. This is it, Audrey. You’ll walk in that door a girl and eventually come out a woman.
“I’m such a loser,” I mumble to myself, and twist the doorknob.
A man hops up from the love seat when I enter. He has dark hair and a defined, closely shaved jaw. He’s handsome, definitely not smelly or gross, and strangely familiar.
“Have we met before?” I blurt, trying to place him.
“Um… I don’t think so,” he says, flashing a heart-stopping smile. His eyes meet mine and they’re bluer than blue. Henry Cavill.
“Oh, I saw you going up the elevator last week.”
“Right. Of course, I remember that,” he says with an even brighter smile. Adorable dimples appear on his cheeks. He holds out his hand. “You were loitering in the lobby. I’m Graham.”
I remember why I’m here and my face burns, surely, turning bright red. I take his hand anyway and say, “Audrey.”
“Right.”
“Right,” I repeat feeling like an idiot.
“Would you like to sit down?” he asks.
“I guess so, thanks.” I take the same spot as the other day but this time I sit in the middle, hoping he doesn’t try to sit next to me. What am I doing here?
Graham sits across from me and says, “I know this is all new for you, but please don’t be uncomfortable. Dr. Markson has told me all about your situation and I just want to help. I think together we have a really good chance of defeating your anxiety.”
His speech is so sincere and he’s giving me the most empathetic smile. I want to die of humiliation. Covering my face with my hands, I groan. “Oh God, this is so embarrassing.”
“Why?”
“Because you know I’m a defective misfit; and you’re here to help me with something I never share with anyone. Like ever, yet you’re just talking about it like its normal.”
“It’s your normal,” he says.
“Yeah. Whatever.” I cross my arms over my chest and nervously look around the room, anywhere but at him. I notice a small black journal on the coffee table. “What’s that?”
“Those are our instructions and guidelines for the day.” He picks the book up, and says, “Want me to read them?”
My stomach burns from anxiety. I want run from the room and never look back. “I guess we may as well see what this is all about.”

Excerpt:

Finn exhaled forcefully, like he had been holding his breath for a long time. I looked into his electric-blue eyes and saw nervousness melt to relief.

He squeezed my hand. “I could wait forever for you or take this as slow as you need as long as I know that you are here with me. I just needed to know that you are as committed to giving us a chance as I am.”

I smiled at him, a little bit of wickedness playing across my lips.

I placed my hand on his left shoulder and slowly it brushed across his chest to his right shoulder. His eyes began to glow, and then they darkened to a deeper blue. Hmm, it wasn’t only my eyes that changed. Good to know.

“You could wait forever, could you?” I taunted in a husky, low voice.

“Ugh,” he grunted.

I laughed, taking in his tortured expression and tense muscles.

“You are a little evil,” he rasped.

“No, baby. I promise I’m very good, and I don’t want to wait forever. Just a little bit longer,” I whispered.

“Get your sexy ass in the car before I toss you in the back seat and say the fuck with waiting,” Finn growled.

I licked my lips and thought about taunting him a little more, but the flash of his eyes signaled the end of his self-control. I scrambled into the passenger’s seat and buckled up.

Finn waited in the same spot for a long moment. He shook his head like he was clearing out an image and walked around the car, chuckling. “Good choice, but the other way could have been more fun.”

“Oh, it will be. Just not tonight,” I promised.

Now she’s watching her only brother’s casket descend into the ground after a fatal accident. Plus her boyfriend since the sixth grade is dumping her for “not being enough”.

I pulled the chair out of the way and braced my hands on the smooth laminate surface of the desk. I offered him my back, unsure if I could go through with it if I had to look at him. He was insanely hot, but he was also a complete stranger. His hands ran over my body, not staying in the same place longer than a beat. He tugged at the twist in my hair until the
loose locks fell around my shoulders.

I closed my eyes and adjusted my stance until our bodies were properly aligned. “Now,” I commanded and thrust my hips back into his.

“Do you have a condom?” he asked.

“No.”

“Hold on a minute.” He found his boxers and tugged them on.

“You’d better fucking hurry,” I growled. He opened his part of the door that connected to the adjoining room and pounded his fist on the door that opened to the other room. I jumped into the bed and pulled the golden pinstriped blanket over my naked body.

I couldn’t see who opened the other door, but I could hear the two men talking.

“Bro, I need a condom,” my stranger said.

“Tough luck, I only have five left, and I need them all,” the other voice responded.

They argued in hushed tones for a few moments before both doors slammed shut.

“I don’t have a condom, but I swear I’m clean,” he said as he walked toward me with hopeful eyes. I could tell he was being truthful. Something about him told me this wasn’t his average Saturday night.

“So am I.” Even though Ethan and I never used condoms, neither of us had ever been with anyone else. That was about to change…or maybe it already had. For all I knew, Ethan might have jumped into someone else’s bed after he drove away from me.

I climbed out of bed and got back into position at the desk as he kicked off his boxers. I forced myself to stay in the moment. I may end up regretting this, but I had to go through with it. I had to find a way to forget about everything that had happened.

My stranger came up behind me and pressed his impressive length against my ass. “Put it in,” he growled softly in my ear. I reached down with one hand, moved my legs a little further apart, and guided his massive cock until the tip of him rested at my entrance.

He pushed about four glorious inches inside me and then paused. I looked down to where our bodies connected and realized he still had a long way to go. I was already stretched further than I ever had been before and was unsure of how much more I could take.

“Oh, fuck. I’ve never felt anything so amazing in my life,” he said between heavy breaths. “You’re so hot and tight around my cock.”

“Shh. Less talking, more fucking.” Of course I picked a talker. Any other day, I might have appreciated his commentary, but in that moment I needed to feel his hunger, experience his desire for me. He was right, though: I did fit his impressive cock tighter than a glove. I’d imagine he’d be a snug fit for any woman.

I thrust my ass backward in protest of the delay. I needed to be filled, consumed. I needed to be completely taken by a man who couldn’t control his need for me.

A primal sound vibrated in his throat as he slowly buried himself to the hilt before stilling once more.

I looked up into the oval mirror that hung on the wall over the desk. The way his face scrunched as he fought to maintain control was the hottest thing I’d ever seen. A man who likely spent countless hours perfecting techniques to bring a woman to the heights of ecstasy was losing his composure because of me.

“Fuck me, please,” I begged. “I need you to come so hard you feel it in your teeth.” I need to know I’m enough for you.

He took a few tentative strokes in and out of my depths. His strong hands slid around my waist and up my ribs to cup my aching breasts. He picked up the pace as his fingers teased the sensitive peaks. His palms absorbed the bounce caused by the impact of his hips colliding with mine. A new wave of heat settled in my lower belly, which was promptly followed by guilt.

I was so confused. Ethan didn’t want me anymore—I wasn’t enough for him. So, why was I thinking about him when I had another man’s cock inside of me?

Because Ethan is the love of your life, dumbass. The taunting voice in my head was
right. I should have been fighting for Ethan instead of fucking someone who could be a serial killer for all I knew.

Ethan doesn’t want you. This guy does. I wished the bitch in my head would make up her damn mind.

A drop of sweat fell onto my back as my stranger pulled out abruptly. “Turn around,” he demanded as he spun me to face him. “Something wrong? You checked out on me.” I couldn’t look him in the eyes; I was afraid he would see the cyclone of guilt and despair that wreaked havoc in my soul. He cupped my cheeks in his large hands and tilted my head up, so I had no choice but to meet his gaze. The vulnerability in his beautiful blue eyes
shocked me.

“Sorry, I’m okay.” I put on my best smile, which seemed to placate him. The dazzling grin he gave me in return fanned the flame between my legs. All thoughts of Ethan disappeared, and I was desperate to get my stranger back inside me.

I tried to return to my original position facing the desk, but he stopped me with a firm grip on my hips. “Don’t turn away from me. I want to watch your gorgeous breasts bounce every time I slam into your tight body.” He lifted me by my waist and sat me on the edge of the desk. “I want you to look at me, so you know who’s inside you when you come.” He stepped
between my spread legs. “This is going to be hard and fast to take the edge off. I’ll go slower next time.”

Strong hands slid down my body and hooked behind my knees. He lifted my legs to tilt me back until I had to support myself on my forearms. Without warning, he thrust into me. I hooked my ankles together behind his back so I wouldn’t shift as his hands moved to my hips. His savage grip would leave marks for several days—and that thought just made me hotter.

He adjusted his angle of penetration several times. I couldn’t stop the animalistic noise that originated deep in my chest as he hit my sweet spot. His hard flesh created delicious friction inside me, and his pelvis rubbed against my clit with every stroke. The sound of his hips slapping against my ass combined with the smell of our coupling nearly sent me
into sensory overload.

“I’m not going to last much longer. Are you on the pill?”

“Yes.”

“Thank God. You need to come. Now,” he commanded.

“No… Feels too good… Need more…”

My pleas turned out to be an exercise in futility when he reached between our glistening bodies to stroke my clit.

“Oh, fuck!” I screamed as I convulsed around him. My body and mind shattered simultaneously. All at once the tension, sorrow, and anger that had built up over the past few days was expelled from my body. He echoed my curse and followed me over the edge.

FIVE WAYS TO FALL Synopsis:

Sometimes you can’t change—and sometimes you just don’t want to. Discover Ben’s side of the story in this fourth novel by the beloved, top-selling indie author of Ten Tiny Breaths,One Tiny Lie, and Four Seconds to Lose.

Purple-haired, sharp-tongued Reese MacKay knows all about making the wrong choice; she’s made plenty of them in her twenty-odd-years. So when her impulsive, short-lived marriage ends in heartbreak, she decides it’s time for a change. She moves to Miami with the intention of hitting reset on her irresponsible life, and she does quite well…aside from an epically humiliating one-night stand in Cancun with a hot blond bouncer named Ben. Thank God she can get on a plane and leave that mistake behind her.

Football scholarship and frat parties with hot chicks? Part of charmer Ben Morris’s plan. Blown knee that kills any hope of a professional football career? So not part of the plan. Luckily Ben has brains to go with his knockout looks and magnetism. After three long years of balancing law school with his job as a bouncer at Penny’s Palace, he’s ready to lead a more mature life—until his first day of work, when he finds himself in the office of that crazy, hot chick he met in Cancun. The one he hasn’t stopped thinking about.

If Ben truly were a smart guy, he’d stay clear of Reese. She’s the boss’s stepdaughter and it’s been made very clear that office romances are grounds for dismissal. Plus, rumor has it she’s trouble. The only problem is, he likes trouble, especially when it’s so good-looking…

And don’t forget the rest of the Ten Tiny Breaths Series…

And Don’t forget to Preorder…

4.5 Star Review

I really love this series by K.A. Tucker. Five Ways To Fall is the Fourth Book in the series and focuses on Ben. I love all the characters in this series and I love how we get to catch up with some of them throughout each book.

Reese MacKay is a sharped-tongued girl who knows all about making bad choices as she has made plenty of them in her young life. When her impulsive, short-lived marriage ends in heartbreak, she decides to move to Miami to live with her step-dad and step-brother. She goes to college and gets a job at her step-dad's law firm. She goes on a trip to Cancun with two of her best friends to celebrate her 21st birthday. Her friends encourage her to get over her ex who cheated on her months ago by finding a guy to spend the night with. She runs into a really hot guy and after drinking way too much alcohol she decides to go to his room with him. Things start to heat up and Reese ends up throwing up all over the guy's shirt. She stays in the bathroom until he passes out and then she leaves without another word.

Ben Morris' dream was to become a professional football player, but a blown knee quickly crushes his dream. Luckily, he is a pretty smart guy and ends up graduating from law school. To celebrate his graduation, him and some friends decide to go to Cancun to celebrate. He is quite the ladies' man and ends up picking up a different girl every night. On his last night there he meets a hot chick who he ends up taking to his room for the night. He hopes to get lucky with her but she ends up getting sick all over him and then disappears in the middle of the night,

A few months later Ben gets a job at his friend Mason's dad's law firm. He is quite surprised when he finds out the girl who threw up on him in Cancun is his friend's step-sister who also works at the law firm. They become quick friends and love to flirt with each other. Reese is not interested in a relationship as she is still hung up on he ex and Ben loves women too much to settle down with just one. Reese is afraid of ending up like her mother who is on her fourth marriage and still unhappy.  Ben only sees love and marriage as a miserable life sentence because of the way his dad treated his mom. Will they ever be able to make a relationship work with all the baggage from their pasts?

"She just...fits with me. So perfectly."

"And I don't see how I could ever get sick of waking up next to her in the morning, or pulling all her clothes off at night, because I haven't yet. It's the exact opposite, actually. I just want her more. She's everything I never knew I wanted. She's everything I never knew I could have."

I really enjoyed the connection between all the characters. I loved the witty banter between Reese and Ben. I loved the relationship Ben had with his Mama. The ending was a little rushed and I would have liked more of a glimpse into the future of Ben and Reese's relationship. I hope we will get to read more about them in future books. This is a must read series by K.A, Tucker and I can't wait to see what she is working on next.

Elle says…

FIVE STARS

Five Ways to Fall is the fourth and final installment in K.A. Tucker’s Ten Tiny Breaths Series, and is every bit as phenomenal as the first three books. I cannot put in to words how absolutely breathtaking this story is. It is truly a complete package that will have you feeling a myriad of emotions right alongside the characters. I was giddy to get my hands on this novel. At the same time I was heartbroken knowing that this would close out the series that I’ve fallen in love with.

Reese MacKay is hands down one of my favorite book heroines. I love it when the female leads are sassy and bold. Reese is all of that and so much more. Of course, she has her share of baggage that she’s been burdened with since childhood. Those hardships have turned her into a witty, outspoken firecracker that won me over in the prologue.

Ben Morris is equally as enjoyable. Like Reese, his arsenal is loaded with sarcasm and he knows how to charm the pants right off a gal. Ben is also saddled with demons from the past. Despite his best efforts to escape his guilt and regret, he is still haunted by those unforgettable events.

I loved everything about this story. The characters had electric chemistry that ignited the pages with passion and romance but also humor and playful moments. Chapter after chapter I experienced a roller coaster of emotions. K.A. Tucker absolutely destroyed my heart at times only to piece it back together with the promise of redemption and hope. I smiled at the downright quirky situations Reese often found herself in but wanted to shake some sense into her stubborn self. Regardless of what I was feeling, both good and bad, I could not put this book down.

Five Ways to Fall is stunning and will have you hypnotized from start to finish. This novel can be read as a stand alone even though it is a part of K.A. Tucker’s Ten Tiny Breath Series. However, each of these stories is so undeniably perfect I urge you to indulge in each one. The Ten Tiny Breaths Series by K.A. Tucker has become one of my all-time favorite series and they are definite must reads so one click them now!

“Azurdee? Honey, we have a slight problem and need you right away!”

Ari yelled from the front porch.

I gave Paul a weak smile and said, “I have to run but maybe I’ll talk to you soon.” I quickly turned and headed toward Ari, who was standing there giving me a shit-eating
grin.

Ari was one of Jessie’s closest friends here in Mason, along with Ellie, Heather, and Amanda. They were all friends but acted more like sisters. I stopped right in front of
her and asked, “How did you know I needed
rescuing?”

She gave me a Cheshire cat grin and said, “Please, bitch, I saw the way you and Lark were dancing earlier. Too bad your date didn’t notice the hotness between the two of
you on the dance floor. I knew you were trying
to ditch the date and I was pretty sure when I saw him roll down that window he was asking if you would like to meet for coffee sometime?”

I chuckled and said, “It was dinner.”

Ari rolled her eyes and said, “Stupid bastard must have been the only one to not see you and Lark practically humping on the dance floor.”

“Oh my God, Ari! It wasn’t that bad…was it?”

She gave me an evil smile and said, “Let’s just say I’m wishing I would have started a bet among the girls because I have a feeling someone is going to be coming over to the…”
Ari looked around and then looked back at me
and whispered, “My-cherry-was-popped side.”

My mouth dropped open and I stood there frozen. “I just don’t even know what to say to that, Ari.”

“I get that a lot. Okay, just make sure the bastard gives you an orgasm before he sticks his…”

I held up my hands and said, “Please stop! Really, I think I’m going to be okay without your…tips.”

Ari laughed and said, “Okay, seriously though, it does help you relax.

Are you on the pill? Please tell me you are at least on the pill.”

My heart started pounding and my hands started sweating. “Um…yeah, since college. Just to be safe. I dated a guy in college for a while and thought he might be the one but turns out he was far from the one.”

Ari’s mouth dropped open. “You haven’t had a boyfriend since college?

My God Azurdee, do you just not like men?”

I laughed and pushed her back some. “Yes, bitch, I like men. I just haven’t met a guy who did it for me. One that made me want to give myself
completely to him until…”

Ari wiggled her eyebrows up and down and said, “Mysterious and handsome Lark Williams has though, hasn’t he?”

I let out a sigh and walked over to the porch swing and sat down.

“Oh my God, Ari. I don’t know what it is, but when I’m around him my body just goes into
overdrive and I have to do everything in my power
to keep from jumping him. It’s been like this from the beginning. I’ve dreamt about him, I’ve thought about him while driving, working, out onother dates. I cannot get him out of my head. He is my weakness.”

Ari sat down and gave me a weak smile. “Is it just a sexual thing? I mean…do you have other feelings for him?”

I nodded my head. “No, it’s not just sexual. I mean, a big part of it is of course, and the fact that I pretty much threw myself at him tonight has my stomach dropping. But there’s more to it. When he enters a room, I swear I have to take a deep breath. He brushes by me or touches me in the slightest way and my stomach flips around like I’m on a damn thrill ride. His eyes…oh my God. I get totally lost in them. I swear—if he had told me to strip down and let him make love to me on the dance floor, I would have done it.”
